Senga has been falling apart a bit since returning from the IL. 6.19 ERA and 6.99 FIP in four starts since July 11. Let's score some runs!

With Senga it all comes down to his forkball. It's rarely in the zone, and he's happy walking guys given he gets a ton of ground balls with it, but if you can force him into the strike zone with either his four seamer or cutter there's damage to be had.

Both have been crushed since his return from the IL and he hasn't been commanding them to the edges all that well. If the Brewers can lay off that fork, good things will follow

Far easier said than done mind, the spin axis so closely resembles his fastball.

I was thinking what team does this Brewers team remind me of and figure it's the 1992 team. Unexpected won 92 games. Monitor and Yount led offense with guys like Hamilton getting on base. Rotation was awesome. Jamie Navarro Chis Bosio Bill Wegman Ricky Bones and Cal Eldred all won double figures. Great pen Doug Henry Dan Plesac Chuck Crim Darren Holmes Mike Fetters. Stacked. Great team. Garner was good manager. Young guys like Nillson and Jaha getting feet wet. This team might be better but that team would have done damage if there was a wild card.

Really good comparison. Molitor had a great season with the bat, and Listach came out of nowhere to be a star after Spiers went down early. Otherwise it was a bunch of guys who knew their roles and played them very well. Greg Vaughn led the teams with only 23 HRs, and Molitor was the only one with an OPS over .800. But everyone on that team stole bases. It was a smart, veteran team with guys like Kevin Seitzer and Scotty Fletcher complementing Yount, Molitor and Gumby.

The pitching was just phenomenal. The four main starters all stayed healthy all year, but they struggled to find a solid 5th after Ron Robinson got hurt (messing with Bruce Ruffin and Dan Plesac serving as openers way before the fad took off). Then Cal Eldred showed up in the second half and was basically unhittable. The pen was also lights out with the aforementioned Henry, Holmes and Fetters, along with Jesse Orosco and James Austin, who came out of absolute nowhere to be a shutdown late-inning guy, only to wash out a year later.

That pennant race with the Blue Jays was must-see TV.

That '92 Team was the one that really solidified my attachment to the Brewers for a lifetime. I was a bit too young to appreciate the previous good teams.

I played an awful lot of backyard catch listening to Uecker on the radio that summer, and distinctly remember listening to the 31-hit performance, and falling asleep listening to west-coast road trips on school nights that season.

Really good interview with BA on MLB Network this morning.

He has certainly brushed up on his knowledge of the 2025 Brewer team.

BA as a Brewer broadcaster is dead to me.

Yeah, he went National on us ... maybe he can get a gig with the Washington Nationals!

BA has shown quite a bit of loyalty to the Brewers. I get being disappointed that he isn't calling more games but he very easily could have left years ago.

He DID leave years ago...  We are his #2, or 3, or 4, or whatever...

What loyalty has he shown?  He shows up every couple of weeks, does a couple of games, isn't truly informed about all the intricacies of the team that an every day guy is.

He was one of the better broadcasters out there when he was full time, but now, he's just a guy who seems to fill in occasionally.

I'd rather have 2 guys in the booth daily than all this stuff we are experiencing this season.  Never know who will be in the booth on a nightly basis.

Yeah, he's good at what he does, but to me, it feels like he has put the Brewers on the back burner for a couple of years now, what kind of loyalty is that?

He could do ZERO games. He is one of the most sought after announcers in sports. I like the variety rather than hearing the same cliches from Rock or Dillard every single game.

Those gazillion dollar superstars can be dangerous.

Soto’s $750M contract is roughly half of the Milwaukee Brewers team value
