I’ve missed every minute of this game due to a boring business dinner. Skipped dessert…or did I?

Turned on game just in time to see Mona crush a HR! How sweet..

Username checks out. ... Oh wait, off by an 's'.

In all seriousness, to clinch the series win without Collins and Perkins is huge. I'll certainly take two of three.

Basically running out a triple A lineup in a 2 of the spots…..who were then replaced by more triple A types as the game went on…….Yeli had a tough game after carrying us last night…..Vaughn didn’t come through like he has been…..Sal did nothing…..didn’t advance runners like we have been and then get them in…….

Yet they won!

I don't usually look at games as "gravy" games, but tomorrow might be as close as they come.

With Hall on the IL and Mears, Ashby, Koenig, Uribe, and Megill all having pitched yesterday and today, the bullpen is going to be pretty thin tomorrow. I doubt if any of those 5 will be used tomorrow. with the doubleheader against the Cubs on Monday. Quintana might have to go at least 6 even if it means taking one for the team.

It might also be a good idea to give Frelick a day off if he tweaked his knee or hamstring again.

Hope for Quintana to be great and for the makeshift lineup to put up a bunch of runs and if they don't just live to fight on Monday.

Little worried about the bullpen heading into Chicago. Can Quintana throw us 7 tomorrow? Can we be up by 12 runs so we can throw Seigler?

The ideal is 6 from Quintana and 3 from Myers.

Someone already said Q, Myers, and Anderson tomorrow. Mears and Miller can probably go if needed, it’s a game they will probably surrender before running anyone else out before Cubs series.

I wouldn’t count on 12 runs against Abbott…….tomorrow will be tough…….just enjoying this one.

lots of guys will probably be unavailable for both teams……Grant Anderson get ready….your pitching tomorrow…..lol

Brewers had won 13 in a row, they’d also won Priester’s last 13 appearances.

Monasterio wears number 14, the IGT was on page 14 when he hit his bomb, the Reds were even foreshadowing things wearing 14 patches (for Pete Rose…who was born on 4/14/41…Milwaukee Day).

Obvious W from the jump.

We are going to have a crazy Sunday lineup tomorrow.   I bet Vaughn gets a rest

It's been pretty close to a Sunday lineup the last two nights with Lockridge and Berroa starting, but yeah it'll probably even crazier tomorrow.  Facing a really tough pitcher too.

Post Game,

Murphy asked him before he chose Mona to bat "Are you ready for a big moment" and
Mona replied "Of course I am I'm always ready you already know that"
Then Murphy put him in to bat.

I wouldn't worry. Babe Bauers is coming into prime form down yonder. Hasn't even thrown out of the Sounds bullpen. That Cy Young arm is fresh.

Wouldn’t mind a loss tomorrow to get the team ready for the Cubs Series.

Only if we are trying to win in the process. No team should ever try to lose. Cubs are 9 games back and a double digit lead would even be better.  Our relievers seem to be needing some reinforcements though we don't want to burn them out.

I was trying to think of a team in the regular season this Brewers team reminds me of, and I think I have it based on the improbable run they are currently on - the 2002 A's team that won 20 straight and inspired the Moneyball book /movie.

Different style of play, but feels like the Brewers have found a way to take advantage of a young defense/speed/pitching and contact-heavy team that other small-mid market teams havent figured out to win alot of games.

Everyone says we are due for a stretch where we don’t play well.   Maybe this is the stretch.   And we are still winning.    We should not have won these two games

maybe gets these out of our system
