Myers is in AAA until August 30th due to that 10 day rule.

I believe for pitchers it’s a 15 day rule……yeah it can’t be Myers.

What a stupid move by the brewers.   They cost themselves one game by not letting him finish and then maybe more by not being in the roster.    Unless he’s hurt?

He’s not hurt…….its always easy to see what should have been done after the fact…….they didn’t know how the next 2 or 3 days would go in the cubs series and didn’t want to be caught short an arm with Miz starting and no days off.

just a difficult combination of circumstances to manage……,in retrospect they should have kept Myers up but it wasn’t as clear cut at the time.

I thought today would have been a good day to finally get Yelich a day off against a tough lefty. Hasn't had a day off in a while off the top of my head.

Perkins hasn’t been competitive enough at the plate to allow Yelich a break today, I suppose.

It boggles me how hard some people root against this team despite being a supposed supporter of that team.....

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

For some reason, people would rather be right about predicting things going badly before predicting they will go well.

Edited to add: Game over.

Collins would be a better option for today both defensively & offensively

Yes and no. If Tobias is on the roster and starting today, we wouldn’t have had a mop up guy in the bullpen yesterday, and we probably waste two more relievers. Rodriguez wasn’t good yesterday, but he did keep Koenig, Mears, Uribe, Ashby, and Miller from having to enter the game. Myers might be a better pitcher than Patrick right now, but Patrick hasn’t exactly been Ben Hendrickson out there this year.  Plus we needed to have a mop up guy available for the Mis game against the Cubs. Hindsight is 20/20, but a 7-1 loss counts the same as a 3-1 loss, so maybe have CRod here yesterday was a blessing in disguise.

Also I'll say it again. Tobias is not full stretched out. He hasn't had a fully stretched out start since the 4th of July. Patrick is actually stretched out.

Kind of shocked the roof is half closed.

They do that to limit the shadows between the pitchers ans hitters.
