Yeah it just feels like the Padres are way more dangerous than the Cubs.

That's fine. Phillies and Dodgers are more dangerous than the Padres so we need to beat good teams anyway. And I can't handle Wrigley North, which we know it'll be.

Look. I hate the Chicago Bears with the white hot intensity of 1000 burning suns.

And yet? I hate the Cubs even more. So I have no desire to see them advance. I hope the Padres win a 17-15 game that requires the Pads to go through 7 pitchers.

Amazing game to be at. The crowd was cheering so loud for every pitch. I waited my whole life to experience a Brewers playoff game, and a W at that from Dave Bush pitching a gem. It did not disappoint.

I remember after the first inning my dad turned to me and was like "there's no way we can keep up this energy for the whole game". We did settle in for the middle innings but got amped again at the end. And I'll never forget the extremely loud "Let's go Brewers" chants in the concourses after. That was something you can only experience once I think, you can't recreate the 'first playoff game in 25 years' energy level.

I flew in from Seattle for 2018 NLCS games 6-7. That first inning outburst in game 6 was the most jacked up I have ever been at a Brewers game. I think the raw crowd energy was better in 2008 though. Had game 7 been close in the late innings it would have surely topped everything but it got ripped away a little too soon for that crowd to really taste it.

I wasn't there but I feel like the 2011 Nyjer Morgan walkoff and last year's back-to-back HR in WC game 3 are likely up there are well.

I was not at either of the two games you mentioned originally but I was at the Morgan walk off and the back-to-back HR last year. The Chourio and Mitchell home runs were out of this world fun BUT I have never experienced a euphoric deafness (if that sensation has a term) as the Morgan walk off. All I remember is hugging everybody and ending up one row in front of and about 8 seats to the left of where I was suppose to be sitting. It was kind of like a movie? The crowd goes crazy and the roar gets so loud it actually goes silent. Underwater like...

Braun HR against Cubs at end of 2008 was probably my loudest moment.

Easily.   That was such an intense season and specifically last week.    There was just a massive release of energy when he smoked that ball

Everyone is going to get mad at me.    But I’m going to hate this challenging the balls and strikes.     Hate it

just get rid of the box on tv and no one would ever complain.   Ever

That would be like getting rid of computers for any industry. Unimaginable. The toothpaste is already out of the tube.

I've honestly had that same thought from time to time - "just get rid of the damn thing"...

This is just 100% untrue.  Have you never heard the fans complain about a call and there's no box for the fans in the stands.  You think nobody ever complained about called pitches before a box was put on the TV screen?  All the box does is give people a sense of vindication.

And I forgot to mention the actual players/coaches themselves.  You've never seen them complain about a call before?

People in the stands are usually wrong.   Second     Everyone takes that box like it’s gospel.    So it’s a centimeter off and everybody *******.    I find it silly.     Of course there are going to be an egregious missed call here and there, but no one is going to ever be able to cheer because we are going to have to wait for some replay on ever damn called strike or ball

just get rid of the damn box

here would be my rule.   If a team challenges a ball or strike and are wrong then the team forfeits any challenge the rest of the game.    Then it will be saved for bad missed calls.    Not a damn centimeter     And you can’t wait for the dugout to watch it on tv to challenge    Either right away or forget it

swing the bat

I actually think with the challenge system being implemented that they should get rid of the televised box, too. I would think eliminating it on the broadcast/feed would get rid of any sort of quick relay opportunities from the dugout on close ball strike calls.

Show it on the jumbotron during reviews and thats it.

But how good would it feel to send them home?

The Reds, trailing the Dodgers 3-2, had the bases loaded with nobody out in the 6th, and got no runs. Nada.

And that is most likely the inning they are going to get to think about for the next 6 months.

That is pretty brutal, especially De La Cruz providing the 3rd out by K. But they should still get a few cracks at the Dodgers bullpen to salvage this one, if their own bullpen can hang on, that is.

You just knew the Dodgers were going to blow it open after the Reds squandered their chance to do the same.

A team full of guys who have been in these spots routinely in the playoffs makes a huge difference.

It has already been announced that each team will only get 2 challenges and they have to come immediately after the pitch, no help from the dugout. Only the batter, pitcher, and catcher can challenge. You keep the challenge if you're right.

If the game goes to extras and team is out of challenges, they get one for the 10th. If they use it, they get another for the 11th, etc. Basically, teams are guaranteed a challenge per inning in extras.

The Reds incredibly brought the tying run to the plate in the 8th, but the miracle salami did not come to fruition from TJ Friedl, who stared at a bases loaded 3rd strike instead.

It's normally hard to be disappointed with a 2 run inning, but when you really needed 6, well….

That is correct, the televised box will not be allowed next year for exactly that reason.

I haven't missed a home playoff game since 1982 (I was 3).

Loudest? Nyjer Walk off or Braun 2 run HR.

Most amped pregame crowd? First home playoff game in 2008.

Weirdest noise? Watching the last out of Mets v Marlins to clinch in 2008. There was a half second where the entire stadium thought the Mets hit a homer.

Most amped post game? Game 6 vs the Dodgers
