What a treat it would be for both our catchers to hit triples in the first 30 games of the season

If I were Sanchez I would be telling Contreras about the triple I hit the other night every time he came back to the dugout.  "The throw to third wasn't even close.  I didn't even have to slide.  Triples are easy."

Honorable mention to Drohan today for eating up 4 good innings in long relief.

Drohan is a good character name. Andor, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones all work.

I'm hit or miss on Vinny Rottino but I'm enjoying the banter between he and BA right now...

I know, BA said Charlie Green is sitting on a wooden bench with about 9 baseballs in his back pockets.

He's had success, but he always seems to be overswinging. I wonder how he would do if he batted with a little more control.

I stand corrected.

I have no recollection of anyone on that list and I look forward to not remembering Greg Jones when his name inevitably comes up in one of these trivia queries in 5 years.

Once upon a time, people thought Brandon Pfaadt was going to be really good.

Erick Almonte rings a vague, vague bell. I feel like he was one of our top prospects at a time when our prospects were very very bad and he was traded for some kind of rental.

Good to see Tyler Black positively using the playing time opportunity.

Never underestimate the Brewers roster management. He could be gone when Chourio and Vaughn come back.

You imagine that has to be it for Jones. Feel bad for him but it is what it is. I would be all for giving Jett his first cup of coffee just to break that ice. Then swap him for Chourio in a few days.

Same is true of Nick Neugebauer, although there's a non-zero chance that they only thought that because they really wanted a guy with a video-game name like Nick Neugebauer to rampage through MLB for 10 years.

And who could blame them.

Jones' line:

.095 BA

.190 OPS

At this point it's not worth making another move, he'll just be gone when Chourio comes back on Monday.

Brock Holt was LOVED in Boston before he came here and there was relative excitement that we had him. He just started that year so bad and couldn't shake it and we had no choice but to cut ties.

He doesn't have to actually play doesn't he? Can you call Murphy and let him know? Otherwise get rid of him so Murphy can't play him.
