Turang's home runs are always aesthetically pleasing.  Sounds weird I know but even when they just get out they're majestic moon balls.  I've got no objection to a Brewers hitting them out just over the wall down the lines, but his big booming home runs are the Platonic ideal of home runs.

I remember when people questioned if Turang would even be an average MLB player.  I was on the band wagon of him being a Trea Turner type and was ridiculed saying this.  Looks like Turang is turning into Trea Turner.

Those oppo bombs remind me of vintage Yelich.

So a middle infieder hit a walk off Homer on Mother's Day against a team from New York?

Gonna be so funny when the Crew passes the Cubs in the standings.

For the second game in a row, some really impressive poise from a young starter after an iffy beginning. Henderson locked in & finished strong. Had we had a cushion he could've even come out to start the 6th. If more of these starts can get through 5.2, 6 innings it's going to make a huge difference for a pen that's been superb lately even without starter length.

Garrett Mitchell has another couple of ugly Ks, one on a FB down the middle looking. He also is up in a bunting situation, squares on the first pitch & takes it, again right down the middle. He also falls behind 0-2 in a key bases-loaded AB, then stays on the ball for a huge sac fly. Throw in a split about .100 pts higher in his BA-----higher vs LEFTIES. Garrett Mitchell is kinda fun to watch, but boy there's a lot of weirdness to his game.

I get Sanchez having to give a break to Contreras, and Contreras DHing on those days. But on a day when Sanchez just isn't seeing the ball it really hamstrings you AFA hitting for him.

Can't feel much better for anyone than I felt for Blake Perkins driving in a couple & affirming what the numbers say---that he's fine vs LHP. Also saved a run in the top of the 1st.

Given the walkoff, Ashby is probably pissed that he didn't pitch the 9th.

Fun series for the Crew. Fine margins, but have to appreciate the pitching work holding that lineup to six runs over 28 innings, one of them with a ghost runner.

Obviously, the 4th inning today was the big one. Clutch hitting and taking advantage of walks, a hit batter, and a wild pitch. Very Brewers thing to do.

If I'm not mistaken, we've now matched our high-water mark at 6 games over .500. Schedule is pretty tough the rest of May, but the quality of baseball has been a lot better over the last two weeks.

One thing that really impresses me about this roster is the starting pitching depth. You look at our starters, and there just isn't a guy who you're like, "we'll probably lose this one." Obviously, Harrison, Sproat, and Henderson are works in progress, but to lose Woodruff and still be able to trot out that kind of rotation is awesome, and it's going to pay dividends as we get late into the year. I'm not expecting much from Priester or Woody moving forward, but you have to think any innings they do give are a nice bonus with this group.

What a fun weekend.

Can anyone explain why it’s ruled a single when a runner is struck by a ground ball on the infield and thus ruled out? I learned something new today.

What a way that would be for someone to lose a no-hitter.

Yep. I also defended him on here 2-3 years ago. Although I can't say I expected the HR pop.

Wanted to mention this as well, glad you beat me to it.

Mitchell had two really ugly ABs, but the sac fly in the 4th might have been one of the biggest PAs of the game, against a lefty really bearing down in a leverage spot.

Don't know what to think of the guy. Would it shock you that he and Lockridge have almost exactly the same triple slash? Because they do. And Lockridge has been worth about an extra third of a win (bRef), basically via defense? I don't know what to make of that, but I'm tipping my cap to Mitchell for helping the team win today, even with a pretty mediocre game overall.

And two of the games started by rookies, who shook off rocky early innings to show mucho poise.

Looks like the BP has been righted. Hopefully it can stay that way.

You guys win, I never saw anything to expect more than a glove first average starting 2B. I definitely didn’t see a lefty Nico Hoerner.

The somber reality is that we are going to lose him in 2-4 years, so maybe they really do feel they’ve found another one in Pratt.

Crazy sweeping the Yankees.    Let’s hope it’s not a reverse of what happened last year.    😀😀😀

If we get swept in the World Series by the Yankees I will not look at this season as a disappointment.
