What?

Dude spends as much time on the bench as he does in the line-up.

I think most consistent goes to Bauers and Turang, even though Turang had his recent slump.

Hopefully Vaughn can make out the lineup card for awhile

Been calling for that for a while now. He doesn’t need to get sent down and take up playing time from someone else.  He just needs to be sent out of the organization completely.

There really isn't anyone at Nashville who Perkins would harm the development of by taking time away from that person. You could definitely make that claim if he took time from Lara except that won't happen.

If he was out of options, yes he'd be a DFA or 'outright' candidate.

The negative reactions for Adames are disappointing.

Where was he getting negative reactions?

I was at the game and every time he was announced and came to bat there was applause.

I mean, I guess.  Maybe I'm just biased against hiring guys like that to run organizations because I remember when Sal Bando, who I loved to watch play, was named GM for the Brewers mostly because Bud and Harry Dalton liked him and he kept the gig for 8 years while presiding over the departure of Paul Molitor and the implosion of a 1992 team that was probably the second best team in MLB and never got to .500 again while getting to keep the job for damn near a decade.

Posey better be good as President of Baseball Ops because he's more or less impossible for the Giants to fire.  It could work out, I guess, but I'm sure as hell glad it's not the Brewers problem.

In all my years following the Brewers, maybe my biggest swing-and-a-miss. There was NO DOUBT in my mind that Sal Bando would make an excellent GM.

He doesn't fill out the lineup card but no way Vaughn is the most consistent player, his spits are enormous which is counter to consistency. He is ok against RHP but not so much that he should ever be in the lineup over Bauers or Yelich.

I must have the right guys ignored.

Was coaching a youth game until about 830… turned on the game and was as relaxed during a Brewers game as I was since that early Washington series.

have great seats tonight and am excited to watch Harrison pitch.

So sick of Yelich’s approach. He is so inconsistent and easy to strike out!!

Splits

Yelich looks ok to me, hitting .275 even though he's about 10 points below his career average also doing better than Bryce Harper unless if your only looking at home runs.

I’m not solely talking for the Brewers’ benefit. I think it would be at least as much for Perkins’ own benefit,

Was at the game last night that Hamilton catch was pretty amazing. Looked like there was NO chance anyone would get that ball and he got there without diving. Truly great speed.

That was the case with Jean Segura.  There was so much baggage here from the passing of his child that he needed a change of scenery so that he wasn't constantly reminded of it.

The Brewers were very supportive of Perkins when his mother passed, but there may be just too much here to remind him of that where, like Segura, it's best to go somewhere else.

Gotcha. But given the situation with the N'Ville OF I don't think it would be to the Brewers' benefit to simply cut him loose. To Perkins' benefit? Yeah, I think you're probably right. Change of scenery & all that.

It may come to the point where they could get a lottery ticket for him if he goes to AAA & starts to turn things around. Barring that, as long as he has options IMO he stays in the organization.

Agree 100% re the 'change of scenery' common thread btwn Segura & Perkins. But the Brewers didn't simply cut Segura loose, they included him in a trade with Arizona & received three players.

Speaking of Perkins I saw he batted righty in the 8th last night against the righty. Wonder if he’s going to get away from switch hitting.

I'd say that's probably nothing. He hit right handed against the other right handed position player he faced this year.

Well, given his splits, might not be the worst idea.
