Pannone is likely a DFA candidate after today’s game. Only three innings pitched. Not sure he’s worthy of a 40-man roster spot. He did fine - especially when you consider the dropped fly ball by Mitchell.

Tigers might have taken a big step toward being sellers today.

They led 7-0 after 6 with Skubal pitching. He came out in the 7th after giving up a run and the Orioles went on to add 4 more. Then they tied it in the 9th and won it in 12. 

That capped a 2-4 homestand against the Royals and Orioles..

One really refreshing thing about how this team has evolved is you no longer feel like there’s any real black holes in the lineup. It wasn’t even that long ago, seeing the murderers row of Perkins, Rengifo and pre-3B Ortiz that you might as well go get something done if the bottom lineup guys were coming up. 

And to his credit, Murphy hasn’t forced himself to play Perkins lately. I often forget he’s actually not in AAA.

Yep. D.L. Hall will likely be activated for Friday's game.

I think there's a decent chance he goes 3 scoreless (or is still pitching) if Mitchell didn't drop that flyball. Just totally changed the inning. He was pitching defensive to Adames because of the runner on 2B.

Agreed.  I frequently have forgotten that Perkins is on the roster right now.

And yes, we have a 6 game lead on the cubs... but we are playing the super soft part of our schedule.  Would hate to lose ground here, and importantly, we need to keep pace with LA and ahead of Atlanta

No huge black holes and no superstars.

So fussing too much over daily lineups is pointless because the gaps aren’t that great. Subbing out one guy from the “best” lineup (whatever that is) isn’t likely to be decisive  

Try to get through the 17 day stretch coming up starting Friday without completely wearing anyone out..

I think the Tigers all but confirmed they are selling. They DFA'd Skubal's personal catcher yesterday. I can't imagine he stays now.

I don’t believe it will be Skubal’s decision.

Losing again today does make a trade more likely. I know he’s a good pitcher, but I hope Milwaukee avoids overpaying with young talent they will later regret losing.

The only way it benefits the Brewers is a World Series championship. I don’t believe we can win this year with or without Skubal.

I would imagine there is. The question is whether he has more value to the Brewers than he would another team. Lara or Chourio could handle CF, but Mitchell's bat would be tough to replace.

Turang literally doesn't even try to stop the ball from going into center.  And no, there was no chance to get Adames Jeff and Vinny, it was a piss poor throw by Sanchez and why are you blaming Pratt being late to cover the base when it wasn't his responsibility with a right handed batter at the plate.  So much stupidity in one play.
