Seems pretty underwhelming when you look at his career track record, but he’s been far better in the bullpen which I’m sure he will continue to pitch out of here and being away from Coors should be beneficial. 

Almost certainly another rental as I don’t see them exercising his 14M option next year,

Seems like a pretty reasonable low cost trade. Not exciting, but some middle relief reinforcements were needed.

I'm a fan of the pitching pickups.  I don't see how it's not another year where scoring more than two runs in a playoff game feels like a miracle.

Like the haul of pitchers we added, however, I just don’t get how we stood pat offensively, very disappointed to not walk away better in that regard.

Taylor Ward was the type of bat we could have gotten. .740 OPS which isn't much of an upgrade over Yelich's .705

Yah, I am a big Martinez fan, but they have so many young infielders. Heck, Ortuno from that same signing class put up similar stats to Martinez a year earlier in their development.

Last August. 

He was doing 2-3 inning relief outings earlier this year but has been doing 1 inning lately in close games as he's proven himself in a higher leverage role.

As frustrating as it is, there aren't many impact bats obviously available at the deadline this year - and to be honest they wouldn't have an obvious positional home in Milwaukee.  If Mitchell stays healthy I want him in the lineup.  I want Lara playing more and Pratt has been awesome at SS.  3B is the power void and I question the value in Hamilton/Ortiz  there most games (especially if Hamilton is playing more) - but that's the roster construction the Brewers live by.  Man I hope Fischer keeps hitting because his bat at 3B would be awesome in a year or 2.

Chourio and Yelich need to start hitting, along with WIld Bill - those are your impact bats that have largely been scuffling since the AS break and even a bit longer.  Despite that, the team has among MLB's best post AS break records.  I have more confidence in Chourio and Contreras picking it back up and getting hot at the right time of year.  Yelich is a sunk cost and in a perfect world he'd be jettisoned to the bench in order to bring in an impact DH - but having Vaughn/Bauers already rostered lets them do that already.

Yeah that was my bad, he’ll surely be a relief option especially since we added May. He could be used in an Ashby-like role though.
