Say this for the Brewers they sure do tend to respond to adversity.

Very nice game today. Brewers responded very well to Murphy's message the other night. Two of their best/most complete games of the month the next two days.

Among all the positives, there were two things I especially loved tonite. First, the final inning from Miziorowski. It reminded me of his Ks vs Ohtani & Freeman w/ the bases loaded in LA. Different hitters, different situations, even the pitch selection was different. What was the same was that in both instances he looked an awful lot like an ace--a longtime, veteran ace. Getting two tough hitters in LA, and tonite dealing with the footing, with falling behind hitters, yet he gives them one more inning & does it efficiently. So impressive.

The other thing was the Pratt sac fly. After the Mets scored two runs, that was a real 'restore order' AB for the team. After the Frelick K & falling behind in the count himself, huge moment & he came through.

D L is on some kind of a roll. And a great job by Senzatela having to get four outs.

I can’t tell you how much a sacrifice fly excites me.

Murphy pushes managerial buttons, and sometimes gets criticized. Over six months, that occurs with any manager. But the emotional buttons, that's more subtle & it seems to be a real strength of his. Even something like the feel for giving Chourio yesterday off.

His style & this roster is such a good fit.

Chourio hitting like a superstar for these couple of months would be a game changer for the brewers.     And would actually change my outlook some

Also Chourio hitting a couple of two run homers did nothing to change peoples opinion of him being a rally killer though.   He needs to hit a double or single there to keep the runners moving.    What does clearing the bases do.    😀

He was noticeably slipping after planting. The grounds crew was out there at least once. They did what they could but after the first couple innings you could see he was never comfortable & I believe it got into his head a little. Fell behind hitters too, for the first time in a long while.

Hard to think of much "noisier" than a hitter's numbers with runners in scoring position. Plus Chourio missed 1 month of the season so it's a smaller sample size than normal. 

Last year? .804 OPS with RISP. The year before that? .845 OPS. 

If a "rally killer" is someone with a 125 wRC+ and 19 HRs, both of which are second on the team after Bauers, then I'll take it and run with it.

In your defense, though, this wasn't even your most egregious take on the subject. It was a few weeks ago when you suggested that 22 year old Chourio is nothing more than Tyrone Taylor 2.0 and a disappointment. 

It's okay. We all have em from time to time.
