Letting the starting pitcher go 7 innings is not the recipe for beating the Cubs, 

Frankly if I were Counsell I’d send him back out for the 8th.

The crazy thing about their pitching woes is they actually did really good at the deadline in finding starting pitchers.

Little unfair. He's been about 50-50 good start-blowup in his last 6 or 7 starts. Threw 7 shutout in a great offensive environment in Arizona. He's been good tonight. Brewers have missed a couple of chances, but they're noticeable because it's been very fine margins.

I know folks hated the May trade, but that's not THAT far off, especially when you consider we also got a bullpen arm. 

Bateman actually is hitting .330 in CF for a Blue Jays team that's now within .5 games of the playoffs.

You have to consider the system. The Cubs dealing their #16 and #18 prospects was MUCH different than us doing it.

Considering one of the traded guys has already helped his team at the major-league level, I'm not sure I agree with you here. 

Plus, again, we got a whole second major-league contributor.
