Yeah, I can see leaving one or the other off the roster, but both creates a pretty serious situation. I think they’d probably keep May up at this point, but it is really tough to feel good about that.

San Diego is looking like one of those teams that gets hot at the right time and can take it all the way.  Scariest looking possible division series matchup if they don't cool off.

Weird win.    People are going to worry about Megill but I’m not.     Yet.     I would be fine with him getting about 3-4 days off though.

Not to mention we tend to just suck vs San Diego as a general rule of late and they just swept us at their place. I believe we are 6-13 vs the Pads the last three seasons. Their bullpen absolutely owns our bats. Would be my least favorite NL match up in the post season - I desperately want another franchise to take them out.😅

to be fair, their bullpen owns everyone - if you don't get to them early you're not coming back...and they've got enough pop in their lineup to ambush you late in a game.

The Brewers' starting pitching depth from a postseason standpoint is definitely a concern - something we all knew going into the season that could make for tough sledding in October by relying so much on young arms

And, yet, outside of Harrison's absurdly lopsided mechanical regression, it is yet again  the Deadline Acquisitions that appear to be the biggest issue of concern. Miz and Hendo are nails. At this juncture, Bobby Gas just might be the best option as the third starter - another young'n - and I don't know how to feel about that. I want to believe? It feels like we are trending toward a match-ups based bullpen or mass piggy back G3? There is a lot of pressure being placed on Miz and Hendo to perform. Essentially, they can not lay a dud in any fashion. We are walking on eggshells. Is what it is.

I wouldn't be surprised to see May and Gasser start, but go 3-4 innings with Patrick and Drohan paired with them.

I’m trying to be logical about this. 

I am not saying that we cannot win next month just because May sucked today. We can still win. 

But having a reliable number 3 starter in our rotation versus just basically having to have a couple bullpen days absolutely could have a bearing on what happens next month.

Because May could completely suck the last few starts and turn it around in October. Same as Harrison 

Just like Mis could dominate regular season and have a couple blow ups during the postseason. It’s baseball. Things happen 

If May went 8 innings and 0 runs today he could literally get shelled in the playoffs. Start tonight doesn’t mean anything. Some days you wake up and have your good stuff, sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you get lucky and have everything hit at someone, sometimes you’re not lucky 

Just chill and enjoy the best team in baseball and not care what happens in October yet when anything can happen
