Tonight will be the fourth time in my life that I have tuned into a Brewers game in which they had a chance to win the World Series.

Until they actually win one I am going to question whether it is ever going to happen.

Not saying you shouldn’t watch tonight, but am saying if we lose tonight, maybe your busy for game 6….

After what I spent for those tickets for game six I will be going. Maybe being there in person instead of watching on TV will be the charm.

Winning tonight would be ideal, but you never know with baseball and we just need to get Rasmussen out early and run up bullpen pitch counts again so that if a game 6 is played, we'll have another huge pitching advantage.

I feel better about today than yesterday, this team is so damn resilient that you know they are going to get down to business and be sharp tonight and they won't have another night of terrible batted ball luck.

If losing a heartbreaker was going to prevent a team from winning the next one I'd go back in history to Game 3 where the Rays suffered a 10-1 loss, with their lone run being a garbage time non-factor, to them manning up the next night and snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. If the Rays can get up off the mat and rally so can the Brewers.

Absolutely true!  If anyone can do it, it's the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers!

This might be weird but the thing I'm regretting most about the loss last night is that Cooper Pratt's home run went from a spectacular all-time franchise defining moment that would have lived forever in the minds of every Brewers fan to just a really cool thing that happened in that one game they lost.

As we saw last night, he can call for groundskeeping to fix it.  And he should absolutely take advantage of it.

You would think MLB would have more control over groundskeeping to ensure everything is in tip-top shape for every game of any WS.

Boy I'm wishing I hadn't bought my ticket for tonight yet. Prices have cratered. You can get in the lower bowl for under $500.

At the Trop? If I ever have to go to a game there again, I wouldn't sit anywhere other than the lower bowl. Maybe the outfield is "ok". The 300 level was..  not great.

The main differences I see are:

  1. His FB doesn't quite have the finish it once did, but except for his normal pitch or two at 104-105, his velocity is the same.
  2. His control isn't quite there

It is possible he is fatigued.  I also wonder if he loses touch a little bit when he gets too much rest.  You can't simulate game conditions.

I guess tonight we will know if he will be back to classic Miz on a normal pitching rotation or if he is just getting by.

There was a video done (before Game 1) where some mechanical flaws were shown in his delivery - he was bending is back knee too far when starting his motions and he also slowed down his delivery.

They were going to see if they could correct those - but it did affect his arm angle, which negated some of the finish on the FB.

It's about his slider control

"With 11 days of rest, Misiorowski threw a simulated game and a bullpen session. That’s when pitching coach Chris Hook and pitching coordinator Jim Henderson believe they found two mechanical flaws that were causing the lack of late life and “hop” to his fastball. You can see a video breakdown of those flaws above.."

I teach my students addition and the proper way to express disgust with your manager when he treats the last 3 outs of a potential World Series championship like a game in early May.

It sucks. I have to tell myself too many people had gone to bed already and they'll get it right tonight.
