2018-08-15: Brewers (Guerra) at Cubs (Hendricks) 1:20 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 8-4]

[OnaBadger58]

Counsel gets advice from.people looking at it in the press box or clubhouse....just like every other manager.

How about his pitcher yelling to the dugout that he tagged him?

My first thought too. Guerra knew he tagged him. This spot was too important to not challenge.

[Bulldogboy]

That run is on Counsell. It's right in front of your dugout. All the terrible challenges he has done and this one he passes? Terrible management there.

[bigredrobbo]

Can you blame CC for not challenging? Even the uber pessimists this board has so many of have agreed that calls we should have had, we didn't get. We lose one yesterday that should have been called, and then later can't challenge a stonewaller. Snakebit.

Why does this team look like a playoff contender one day and a little league team the next?

Are you talking about the Cubs or the Brewers?

[OnaBadger58]

Why does this team look like a playoff contender one day and a little league team the next?

Because it's baseball. The same can be said about the Cubs, Astros, Yankees, Mariners... everybody but the Red Sox.

7 of first 11 Brewers have gone 0-2 in the count. Edited August 15, 2018 by Underachiever

No way, Shaw AND Schoop swung at the first pitch 85 mph fastball right down the middle and hit rockets, what a concept

[Dantae]

Inconsistency is the banner for this season

[brewmann04]

the video dept needs to be fired they are horrible glad I DVR the game for later

Why does this team look like a playoff contender one day and a little league team the next?

You can literally see Rizzo's jersey move and change trajectory.

Hope for Schoop

[homer]

Is it just me or are the brewers swinging at a lot of first pitches?

[adambr2]

Great job Schoop. Both the hit and scoring on that.

[JoeyWiemerTruther]

No, that was the first 2 times all game I think I’ve actually noticed it. Every other time they watch that meatball right down the middle every time

[JoeyWiemerTruther]

Great slide Schoop!

Keep saying those things. Pick on Pina next.

[brewerswinNLcentral]

yessss. the KISS OF DEATH criticism post strikes again...lol

[adambr2]

Not to nitpick Thames too much for an RBI single, but shouldn't he be standing on 2nd after the throw home?

[KeithStone53151]

terrible decision by windmill eddie to challenge heyward there. Thankfully the throw was way up the line...

[JoeyWiemerTruther]

Hendricks isn’t really doing anything different, it’s just that the hitters finally started swinging and the good pitches and watching he bad ones

[OnaBadger58]

Should pinch hit right now imo
