Any guesses on Moustakas’ extension? Shaw is not coming back and I can’t imagine they go a different direction.

I just hope he and Grandal are back in 2020. We would have screwed without them this year.

My bad. I though it was a win and a loss gets us in. Well that’s great news!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Moose is basically a middle of the road 3B. I’d welcome him back with the right deal but let’s not get crazy.

I would defintely give Moose 2 years.......not sure what it would take....he might want to see if he can finally get some big money after his great season.

Who else would be a better option in 2020?

I wouldn't mind Gamel coming back either.

Have at it.

Shaw will be back same was said about Thames last year and yet he was brought back.

He has 3 WAR this year...I mean, not bad. Shaw is -1.0 WAR in less than half a season. That’s just lazily comparing...but I am sure you get the point.

The Brewers have their backs against a wall on this one. I doubt Moustakas gets some nuts 3/$50mil deal. Worst case I am sure it is an affordable two year deal.

They can’t afford to lose both the offense of Moustakas and Grandal...and signing Grandal is likely less of a value and a way bigger risk. Moustakas returning makes waaaay too much sense. If the price is realistic you gotta imagine he comes back. There is no in house option and what else do we do? Sign a different free agent? We are spending money regardless.

Thames was a productive player in 2018? Shaw wouldn’t even be on the roster if it wasn’t September. $5mil+ next year for Shaw...and I don’t thing he has an option.

Different comment, but the Twins are sitting at 98 wins. I wonder what kind of odds I could have gotten in March on them hitting 100? Not that I had any idea of course, but weak division or not that is still a big number.

Shaw doesn't have any guaranteed money for next year. Thames did.

Thames also wasn't a complete train wreck in 2018.

I'd put the chances of Shaw being back with the Brewers in 2020 under 50%.

The Brewers are a small market team, if Moose is too expensive then he's gone. That's life.

Someone like Todd Frazier can be signed to play 3B next year.
