A right handed pitcher with a right handed 1st baseman picked you off. I mean that should be an automatic benching/DFA/public shaming.

If his last bit of nonsense didn't get him benched, this won't either.

Avi was one of those signings that a lot of us really tried to talk ourselves into. I think we've been walking around under the assumption that if Stearns makes a move it must be secretly genius.

The reality is he makes mistakes too and Avi looks like a really bad signing.

The throwing error and the pick off... little stupid things that make a huge difference in this game

Fans: Hey Brewers loaded the bases with no one out!

Brewers: Now watch as we score the bare minimum you'd expect from this situation while failing to get a big hit.

Can’t wait till Garcia is off this team. What a terrible signing and waste of money.

Glad I'm not alone, take JBJ with him.

20 million we could have spent on a real 1B or SP...

All that money spent on non offensive players when we needed offense, frustrating to say the least. Maybe Stearns should stop giving $10mil+ salaries on short term deals to OFers...it ain’t working.

Felt like he was spending money at the end of the offseason just to spend it.

I can only assume Garcia may have been leaning to steal a base as consecutive hits to score him there would have been comically impossible for this offense...but sure didn’t look like a guy looking to steal.

0 would still be the bare minimum id expect.

Tbh I'm pleasantly surprised they got 2 in ..

Yeah, that money was burning a hole in his pocket when we didn't land the players he really wanted, like Turner

Agree, they’ve done a fantastic job managing (lowering) my expectations in that situation.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Yeah... I was trying for a smidge of optimism but I can't fault you.

That was still a very Brewers result was my point.

Two hits would have been unlikely, but Vogelbach making contact and hitting one out was conceivable. Now it’s the bottom of the order going into the ninth.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Glad they've made it interesting but doubt they have the right people up to push a run or two across against Neris.

If they don't score at least the top end bullpen guys will have had another night off. Good job by Angel and Drew.

Sure, just pointing out...MAYBE...he was leaning for a steal attempt and that is why he got nabbed there.

I was just about to comment on how Vogelbach's statline is now worse than Hiura's was, but with that double he is probably up to third or fourth on the team in OPS :laughing
