Really would be nice if Manny stopped hitting like a pitcher soon.

He has 1 hit since May 26….even as a back up catcher that is not getting it done.

CB Bucknor’s blown strike three call that should’ve ended the inning may end up costing the Brewers big time here.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Looking like it isn’t the Brewers day. A blown call followed by Freddy butchering an easy grounder.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

A bad missed call but Peralta has to field that ball

This is playing like a classic getaway day game. Take your cuts and get out of town.

87-88 appears too fast for our guys today. is that stupid little hitch in his delivery really that hard to figure out?

I know we want to make hitting sound easy but it’s really not. There will be days that it just doesn’t happen. Maybe they’ll rally today but maybe they won’t. We were due for a day that it doesn’t go our way though.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Struggling vs a soft tossing lefty, someone better call Braunie and see if he’s in game shape. Bet he could still knock Tyler Anderson around...

That’s the beauty of the Brewer starters. Hitters scuffling, Peralta not at his best, Bucknor squeezing the zone, and they still get a quality start and are poised for an eighth inning rally for the sweep.

Would like to see the Brewers make Derek Shelton pay for the decision to bat Anderson with the bases loaded.

We're struggling because Counsell put out a give up lineup for this game. 5-9 in our lineup are basically automatic outs.

Get the bus started, the Brewers just want to get out of town with 3 out of 4 and move on to the much tougher pitchers and opponents coming up this week.

1-4 haven't exactly hit either. It's just baseball, they aren't going to win every game even against the Pirates.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Not really the point. 5-8 are all hitting under .200 and 3 of the 4 have OBPs at .265 or below and the other is only .307. Add the pitcher on to that and the lineup is just littered with easy outs. 1-4 isn't great or even good for sure but it's a steaming trash heap starting at 5 in the lineup.

As others pointed out, it's just baseball. All of the other buttons they've pushed in similar ways have worked for two weeks, they were due for a clunker.
