To late on the pull.

Very weird. Maybe he wants woodruff to get used to 100 pitches coming down the stretch

Who knows. Woodruff has been crap today. I don’t see the point of keeping him out there down 4 runs. It’s not like we don’t have a bunch of guys in the pen to go to

4 runs here and we're right back in this thing

If only JBJ could learn how to let pitches hit him in the feet instead of skipping over them he could have been on base there.

Maybe he needs some lessons from Coach Ernie from Cheers.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Another Phillie homer.

chalk this one up to "meh" and move on...

This is shaping up as a great day for the Phillies:

Diaz blows a save and the Mets lose to the Nats.

Dodgers score 4 in the first against the Cardinals to give Scherzer a cushion.

Cubs lead Reds 4-3 heading into the 9th.

If these things hold they could be gaining a game on 3 of their playoff competitors and a half game on the idle Padres and Braves.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Suppose so. Just not getting a great vibe from seeing a 0-5 record against a potential playoff opponent, while watching very similar anemic offensive outputs against their starting pitchers across those games.

Is it being too pessimistic to say I don’t think there’s going to be a miracle comeback for the Brewers today.

If you had told me at 5 PM yesterday that the Brewers would be 1-1 for yesterday and today I would have taken it. So, I’ll take it.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Norris is bad. He better not be anywhere near the playoff roster.

Glad we got that miracle win yesterday. Big picture we need to get the big 3 back on track. All seeing their share of struggles lately.

Maybe an emotional hangover today against a good pitcher.

I don't put a lot of stock into the season series. The playoffs are another animal entirely. Same game, different planet.

The rule for the next month is stay/get healthy, set up your rotation, and get your timing down.

Yeah we’re pretty much locked into the two seed at this point. Just stay healthy and get the big 3 rolling again heading into the playoffs.
