I’ll stop beating a dead horse after this, but Yelich’s defensive outlook over the next few years might be more worrisome than the offensive part. He may very well end up at 1B or DH sooner than later.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Matt Carpenter and his .175 BA emerges from his coffin to bite the Brewers.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

The Brewers' weakness is definitely not pitching, not really hitting, but the simplest acts of catching and especially throwing. I mean it's not bad, but it's not as good as it might be or should be. And it's fundamental.

Does Yelich have any trade value in today’s Major League Baseball

It’s interesting in the current market what the value of a Yelich and that contract is

It would cost the Brewers a ton, an absolute metric ton to get out from under that contract, in the unlikely event they could find a taker. I think right now, their honest to gosh best bet is to go into 2022 hoping that he gets right over the winter and gets back to Florida Marlins level Yelich, or even something resembling that. Trying to trade him now would be disastrous.

That’s my feeling too.

Yelich, another chopper on the third pitch of the at bat. The best pitch he saw was the first one right down the middle. Then fouled one off and rolled over! It is so hard to watch.

That happens alot. He always takes the first pitch so pitchers just throw it down the middle knowing he won't swing.

If Yelich can't hit or throw what good is he at this point?? This team could easily get swept out of the first round with a total of say 6 runs scored. I am not convince they can hit good pitching at any reasonable level. Pitching is awesome sure but come postseason you gotta score.

Its like Yelich has taken hitting advice from Braun. Watch first pitch go down middle swing at a pitch inside that you have no chance at hitting and then flailing at an outside off speed pitch.

I’m in such a negative mood regarding this team. They seem like they’re just going through the motions. Yelich is done.

I think that’s the funny thing about baseball… the highs feel so good and the lows can feel like you’ll never win another game. The truth is always somewhere in the middle, but this team is legitimately good. Their pitching is good enough to give them a chance to win on most nights. They have the offensive pieces to score runs. The defense can go through some struggles, but on the whole is above average. It’s a very good baseball team.

lol great time for bad Suter to show up again. I hope this is the last season Suter is with the Brewers the guy is not fooling anyone anymore and he should be looking for a job as a pitching coach somewhere and not on the mound.

Yadi Molina seems to intimidate this team. He never gets pitched inside and seems to just torture them with basic hitting back up the middle. It is amazing to watch for the last 12 years or so.

They better win one of the next two, cause if this gets to 8 1/2 games going into Thursday, the cardinals will actually say “why not go for it all”

Hey now, Braun in his last season was better than Yelich now. And at age 29 Braun was way better.
