Well I should have included that to subset the data you should have a valid statistical reason. When Cutch was doing better through early July there was a sensible argument that he needed time to heat up, but it looks like right now that the outlier in his performance is June. It's been hot for July and August so the argument that he needed to heat up has contrary data from July 1 to yesterday that points to an outlier and not a consistent change.

OK. More than I expected lol. It's just that baseball is more random & nebulous than IMO any other sport, and the more data there is the more either or both sides can make their point. It gets counter-productive.

Here's an explanation straight from the 1920s: Maybe CC wants to give Tellez a day off, it's obviously going to be vs a LHP, and there's no other option than to play Huira unless you want to play Brosseau there, which means Wong plays. Or Caratini, which puts Super Mario in the game, something we may see tomorrow.

So what if he's hit few HR's & gotten some BB's. That's about it.

Forget about Votto, just listening to him I'm pretty sure every conversation A.J. Pierzynski has is interesting/weird.  Mainly weird.

The Brewers could use Ben Sheets as the DH and you would defend it.

Ok, now this was funny :)

When Angel is behind the plate, literally freestyling calls I don't think it's advisable to try to work counts.   Cutch's 2nd strike was nearly in dirt.  Looked like ball 4 was actually a strike.  That's Angel for you.

Quit it. Particularly after what Brock posted above.

I didn't see his post until just now, well after I posted mine.

I’m not sure this will be overturned. The way Yelich bounced around and off the base they might not be able to say for sure that he was never tagged.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

So instant replay is actually being used for it's true purpose, to overturn obvious wrong calls, and they can't even get that right.

GET RID OF INSTANT REPLAY!!!!

It looked pretty clear to me that by the time his one leg disengaged from the bag his other leg and even hands were on there.

That’s a perfect example of a play that for 100 years the runner would have been safe because he beat the throw easily, and nobody would have complained about it.

Not gonna lie, I would love to see the catcher and batter simultaneously bail on a 0-0 fastball right down the middle, nailing Angel right in the chest.  A win/win for the entire league.
