Only 3 games this past season (injured?), started all three, 13.2 IP, 7 H, 6 BB, 18 K.  There's something there.

Pitched in CCL in 2022, gave up a lot of hits but 9.3 K/9 and 3.1 BB/9 in 23.1 IP.

This shows that he ran into some trouble later in the year...dead arm?

Birchard, looked like a signability guy, but it looks like he’s a 19 year old JUCO with an Oregon commitment, so probably will not be cheap

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

In a news article it mentioned that it was his dream to get drafted. https://www.niagara-gazette.com/sports/ryan-birchard-s-nccc-success-leads-to-choice-between-d-i-scholarship-or-mlb-draft/article_46546fbe-fc14-11ed-8924-a3c7eba33548.html

Also this...

Touched 98 but lived in 93-95...two other offerings and was part of a 5 inning no-hitter vs SUNY-A

Seems like we’re at the point in the draft where we no longer have any idea who the guys are

"This guy's dead!"

"Well cross him off the list."

Birchard made the list I posted earlier. Really, really like this pick. Huge ceiling.

The leg kick is different, but anyone else seeing Ben Sheets in that throwing motion?

Sounds like Pratt will cost some money to get him to skip college.

Pratt would be a huge get.  The first scouting report I read was all about how similar he is to Gunnar Henderson.   Ummm........yes please.

Ranked 45th overall at MLB.com.

Ya, i don't see Pratt signing, but you never know, right? Maybe just trying to save money to use elsewhere by drafting a guy who won’t sign? Or is that a bad strategy? Seems like it happens, tho.

Callis just said on the live stream according to his sources that the brewers are going to get the Cooper Pratt deal done

Might sign Boeve and Woodward underslot to free up money for Pratt

The last of our Rounds 1-10 picks to not sign was Dylan Covey in 2010, so I have to believe we’re confident in signing Pratt, pending physical. It just means we’ll draft a bunch more (relatively cheap) Woodwards from here on out, with the usual sprinkling of impossible-to-sign guys.
