Happy for him. He just looks so much healthier. Also I feel like it shows the Brewers FO weren't wrong acquiring him in hopes for a bounce back. We just were a year early.

There are reports that the Reds are hiring Terry "Tito" Francona to be their next manager.

Announcement to be on Friday 10/4/24

If true, this make the division a lot tougher for the Crew moving forward...

I hope that's true. I like Francona and it's a good sign he's healthy. Thought he had some health issues in Cleveland?

That was my understanding as well.  If healthy enough now I have to wonder if there were a couple of underlying problems for him with the way CLE did things.

He is a master of getting the most out of his club & makes Cinci a much bigger threat to win the NL Central division title in at least 2025 & 2026.

I have trouble seeing the Reds moving ahead of us but certainly going from a nepotism hire to one of the better managers in the game will net them a few more wins at a minimum.

Thanks for posting this , Serious bad blood! Those slides were hilariously terrible and dangerous! Never happen in today's game!

I'm struck by just how unathletic and poor a lot of the retro clips are. The defense is often horrible.

I rewatched that '82 Angels-Brewers tilt, and could not believe how bad the defense was.

Yeah they’ve got good young talent, but just need leadership and direction. 

Pirates with Skenes and some other young high draft picks may start putting it together too.  

We have got to keep getting better.  Hopefully our system and player development will keep it rolling!

So Greg sounds like Craig and is the new Brent to Brett if that makes sense.

I was more than a little surprised that didn't happen to Eric Rodgers.
