Literally the least surprising news ever.  Hopefully he gets everything corrected and comes back strong

Too bad. Was it disclosed what the issue in his back was? Will surgery allow him to just maintain and play through some pain with some time off here and there or was it ever said if the issue could be resolved.

Those with back issues always have back issues, so it seems. Poor guy. This sucks.

This is why I'm glad they didn't go all-in on a couple of rentals and just picked up a few fringe pieces to take their chances.

Give the kids the year to learn & adapt, and then get Yeli, Woody, and Gasser back next year.

Even the Brewers website doesn't want to talk about Milner's "injury".  There is no mention of Milner in the Brewers Injury thread.

Hoping we hear something soon on Sal Frelick’s hip injury. He’s not a big offensive threat but his hard-nosed play, young energy and quickness in the outfield are important to the Brewers leading into the playoffs.

From the game thread: McCalvy tweeted that it's a bone bruise and they're waiting to see how he recovers before making any roster move.

And as a pinch runner, given that there's usually at least one extra position player on the bench in the playoffs.

Not as big of a loss as Devin or Woody from the last couple of years, but yep late inning defensive replacement, pinch hit if you need to get a bunt down, pinch runner that can steal and score from 1st late in the game would be nice to have him on the bench.
