How big was that play by Perkins in the first?  Literally took three runs off the board in a game that finished 2-0.

Sweet sweep over a hated opponent.

If Yelich can come back Perkins might be sending Frelick to the bench for awhile.

Yeli would DH alot would be my guess. Can't bench Perk or Sal, much invested in Chourio to bench either my guess. In a 6 game week.

Perk 5 CF, Chourio 5 RF, Sal 3 LF/1 CF/1 RF, Yeli 3 LF/ 2 or 3 DH.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not that crazy about our second string tv crew.

Dillard stinks……just annoying

I am fine with Vinny……..I’m not a fan of Levering but I’ve come to accept that he is who we got for most of the season.

Yep. Vinny's ok.

I watch a lot of soccer, and it's a regular occurrence that the team with more high-priced talent creates a lot of chances, but (in an individual contest) fails to convert and ends up losing to the opportunistic side. I know this happens in hockey, too,

The Brewers were the opportunists today, but over the course of a season, it's better to be the first team. They actually have been for a lot of games, but it has a mirage feel, at least to me, Would love to be wrong

Ahhhhh yes that somber afternoon in my mountain valley when I take a brief respite from cutting up an 80 foot tall Douglas Fir...sit on a stump...drink some fresh lemon water and check the scores.

Instantly, I l lament sweeping the classiest organization in MLB in their ballpark and fantastic city while also deeply grieving another Cubs loss to the Marlins! Oh dear Couns, I weep for you and all Cubs fans!

I don’t see Yelich being DH more than occasionally.

To get their best lineups they need to use that spot some times to keep Contreras’ bat in when he gets days off from catching, and to keep Hoskins from playing 1B every day.

Frelick would get his playing time when Yelich, Contreras, Hoskins, Chourio or Perkins get complete days off. But for now I think Perkjns should be ahead of Frelick in the pecking order.

That was largely built on a few blowouts. 9 of the 20 games they've scored 3 or less. Throwing out yesterday's explosion, the Brewers had scored a total of 5 runs in the last three games and gone 3-0 (1-0 against SD on Wed, 2-1 Fri and 2-0 today).

Also, they're getting almost 2 hits and 1.4 runs per game better than 2023. Is that sustainable? Hope so, but I'll expect some regression.

Offense has struggled for a few games missing Christian Yelich who was looking like MVP Yelich before getting injured? Shocking stuff. Also outside of first 2 innings today and Abner's inning in the 1-0 against SD, I would hardly say the opposing teams were putting up lots of chances to score.

Cards had 12 LOB on Friday and 10 today. That's 22 LOB and 1 run scored.
