Lauer wasn't bad...until he lost his control.  He just didn't have the stuff to lose pitches over the middle or give up walks.  Gasser is very similar in those aspects.

Yeah. I meant the solid 3/4 starter version and not the 2023 shell of himself version.

I'm still dumbfounded Atl traded Contreras.  Such a smart organization, but I guess they can't get them all right.  But even still its not like their current C is bad or anything or the trade didn't 'work' from their end since he has been good too.  But younger cheaper, controlled longer all in Contreras favor.  Think if they had him to go with the core going forward rather than a C entering his 30s

I think what it comes down to is they thought they could get an upgrade on D and not lose any offense with Murphy. They were trying to improve on the margins after losing in the NLDS to the Phillies despite their super lineup. Fortunately, the Brewers said, "we'll happily take the offense and go ahead and turn him into an above average defender with our catching lab."

I can't understand anyone who isn't at least in favor of the B/S challenge system. This is ridiculous. Zone for Gasser is completely different than the one Perez is getting.

This umpire crew is awful. Last game this HP ump had a accuracy of 82%
