How many times this season has our starter gone 7 innings complete?

That's been an all-season thing as far as I recall. It's getting annoying.

Since Levering became our main TV announcer……

Here's what I found a little frustrating tonite--by my very unofficial count we had about 10 ABs with a 3-ball count, and reached I think once. Not appropo of anything except maybe we need an ass't hitting coach in charge of fouling off 4 or 5 pitches, like opposing hitters seem to do to our guys way too often.

It's just so throwback, and so much fun, to see a guy pitch effectively w/o getting a boatload of Ks. Obviously a great job by Rea.

Damn, is Turang good w/the glove.

Pretty cool that Eric Thames still comes to Milwaukee to visit from time to time…….he was only her a couple of years but really seemed to be a good guy.

Brewers hitters are just really struggling right now. Ebbs and flows of a season and a bunch of guys are ebbing right now. Contreras in particular is just not doing damage on pitches he was crushing at the start of the year. Yeli's timing has been off a lot. Ortiz is pressing a bit and chasing pitches he doesn't need to chase. Hoskins was all out of funk tonight.

theyve faced som really good pitching the last week or so too

This.  In their last seven games they've faced one starting pitcher with an ERA over 3.  One of them, Reese Olson, they knocked around so bad his ERA ended up over 3 after the game.

This isn't just dating back 7 games. Contreras has an OPS under .600 since the start of the Astros series in mid-May over a now 98 PA sample size. Yelich has an ISO of about .110 in his last 125 PA.
