Stanton and Yelich were stars. Rogers isn't anything special and Scott is a reliever.

That’s the point: acquiring a bunch of minor leaguers at the deadline doesn’t mean anything other than you suck at the major league level

Stating the obvious, but Arnold should be selling.

Yep…..get 7 games up at the deadline and then play for next season!

That would go over great in the clubhouse……

Not quite sure how "obvious selling" and 7 game lead work together, but I'm listening.

I'm not sure the point you are trying to make. Teams out of the playoff chase trade for prospects all of the time. Rogers and Scott are not nearly as valuable as Stanton and Yelich but they got some pretty good prospects for them.

Unless some stuff goes down in the next half hour, this is shaping up to be the most boring deadline in recent history.

That goes hand-in-hand with adding tiers to the playoffs & creating a scenario where so many can claim to be 'in it'. It does add the intrigue of two contenders maybe making an 'old-school' deal that might benefit both, but yeah, it's a different animal.

I hope this stays boring from a Brewers perspective. This team has way too many holes to be a serious championship contender and will likely be underdogs in any series they play in.

When you see the return that Taylor Scott brought back it makes you wonder how much we could get for Devin and I see that as a opportunity missed.

This place would meltdown over getting 1 or 2 players back like they got for burnes 😂. Quality over quantity for sure

They're highly unlikely to be underdogs in a Wild Card series if they stay #3.

I'm completely fine with the moves the Brewers made considering the astronomical costs of acquiring pieces this deadline. Really feels like everything is being put together for a serious run next year with a lot of expiring contracts.

If its the Mets they will definitely be the underdog and I think they would be if its San Diego. If its anyone else the Brewers would probably be favored.

To reach the World Series the Brewers would likely have to beat the Mets or San Diego followed by both LA and Philadelphia and that is a long shot at best.

I didn't say anything about playing for next season. It was a commentary on how ridiculous the sellers market is with regards to relief pitching. See if some team wants to give up a couple of their top ten prospects for Hoby Millner. Maybe they back up the truck for Devin Williams.

Hudson and Megill getting hurt when they did was such a killer.

Someone’s post was “Marlins winning the deadline” to which my response was trading vets away doesn’t mean anything other than you suck. Nobody will know for 3-4 years who “won” thr deadline if anyone

I look forward to you waiting 3-4 years before commenting on any trade.

And now the Cubs deal one of their better (best) relievers.

I don't know what they're doing down there.

Clearing salary space for an elite bench coach.

With prices as high as they were, I'm completely fine with this Deadline. This is always an experience year and see where the chips fall if they get to the post-season. I definitely didn't want to mortgage the future. I still feel as though 2025 is our best shot - everything in 2024 is Bonus Slot money in my mind.
