Lmao Winker.

Honestly, if Winker just carries on to 3rd rather than stopping several times to see what the Dodgers are going to do with the ball, he's likely in without a play at 3rd. He stopped to see the ball going to 2nd, then stops again to see what Lux is going to do with the ball. What the hell, man, just keep running. Oh well!

He was a hot name last year.  I would still take him as a manager as I don't believe managers have that much of an impact on a team.  If they did then why did the Cubs not improve with one of the best managers in the league and why did the Brewers have so much success without one of the best managers in the league?

If the Brewers wanted to bring Seitzer in to be a hitting coach I would be fine with that also.  Both Seitzer and Sal should find jobs rather quickly.  This sounds like more of sacrificial lambs than anything else.  Also 2025 is Snitker's final year as his contract ends after the 2025 season.  This maybe a last chance for Snitker in Atlanta.

In his 1 year, they won 90+ games. Who's to say Murphy isn't 1 of the best managers in MLB? He's off to a good start.

Because the exact opposite of what you said is true, I have always disliked Craig Counsell.  He never went to bat for his players like Pat Murphy does, whether it be a bad call or the media getting on a player.

Murphy takes issues on full force and Counsell wined and moaned and scratched his head about everything.   Murphy is a leader, Counsell has shown nothing as to leadership, he is to nonchalant and laissez-faire about everything.

Couldn't agree more. The same thing always irked me about Counsell. He was WAY too passive, played favorites way too much/long while on bad streaks, and rarely stuck up for the players.

Seriously, that's the whole point of your base coach.

It's okay for you to cheer for whoever you want! I'm personally rooting for the Dodgers to win this series because I want the "beat the Brewers in the playoffs and you go to the WS" crap to be done with

If the goal is to change the system then having a few small market teams winning it all would probably force changes faster. If all the big spenders realized youth wins they'd stop paying big names and focus on accumulating cheap talent. The only way players would accept all the teams adopting the small market strategy would be if players got a certain amount of the total revenue. For that to happen owners would have to agree on some form of expanded revenue sharing. In a roundabout way small markets winning more often could lead to more revenue sharing.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Just to make it clear, I want the Guardians to win the WS. I want the Dodgers to win the NLCS.

I get it is a federal holiday today but why is there a playoff day game today especially in LA.

This is just some dumb scheduling by MLB.

What was with these two behind home plate? Would just stand randomly.  No emotion. Never followed the ball. Just looking straight ahead with non changing creepy grins. A reference to something? Joker (didn't see the movie)?20241014_183442.jpg.b781d070c41a2339c2462c76248eb2d8.jpg

Walking Soto to load the bases to pitch to the soon to be MVP is what makes the playoffs so fascinating……….i don’t blame them with the platoon advantage and Judge struggling but it sure makes for compelling drama.

So clutch by Judge and Stanton against Clase. 18 degree launch angle HR by Judge.

Yep……or if you’re a Cleveland fan another blown save by your elite closer……..it all depends on your perspective……lol

Huh, imagine that - elite closer giving up go-ahead HR to elite HR hitter.

On the TNT broadcast with the awesome stats on the screen, the guys said the closer was the best in baseball.  Now I know how to jinx a closer.

They said the same thing about Devin... 😢
