I sometimes like to watch the games with the sound off if only so that I don’t have to listen to levering saying “sweeeeng and a miss”.

But, when I do that, I miss gems like what he said after Yelich’s walk:“the stage is set for the heart of the order”.

Maybe the stage was set for Contreras, but the “heart”of the Brewers order is at the top. They’re getting next to nothing out of 6-9, and with Frelick not playing the 5 spot is a hole too

You could say the same about Yelich and Contreras too. At least before this series.

Do the Brewers seem to have more problems with their pitchcom system than other teams?

Hoskins looks like he's lost up there. Guessing on every pitch. Collins is around until Perkins gets back. I don't know how Murphy is doing it! The starting pitching is a wonder each day, the black hole at 3B remains a big problem, Hoskins has to be one of the worst if not the worst 1B so far, Contreras and Yelich under .200. Yet they still have a winning record!

Every team does. You'd think a billion dollar business could avoid pitchcom malfunctions for at least two games.

When the guys you’re expecting to hit are slumping you really can’t have too many other black holes. But the Brewers are getting nothing from 1B, SS, and 3B and, unlike Yelich and Contreras, there’s no reason to think that’s going to change significantly with the current personnel

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

For those who followed spring training closer than I-----was there some sort of self-imposed mandate re Hudson, that we want to limit him sitting down & getting back up this season? I thoroughly didn't get him not at least coming back out to face Moniak. And leading off the inning I doubt they'd use Bryant there.

Great start to the year for Uribe. But a reminder today that there's still a long way to go between the ears.

If there's a lot of lamenting the bases-loaded-nobody-out stuff today, I'm not boarding that train. Ortiz hit a rocket. Collins looked to ambush, and hit the ball hard (of course, right at the SS). Now, the Dunn AB after Ortiz, yeah. You need to touch the ball someway, somehow.

Still trying to figure out how Priester got through five allowing one run w/the command issues. But it got better after awhile, and if he can build on this, OK. I'd like to see him be able to take a little more off the changeup.

Yoho for Payamps is an easy call.

Just like when last year people said to DFA Payamps.

Then he had a 1.11 ERA the 2nd half of the season.

Pathetic with the bases loaded today and that cost them, kind of hate the broadcasters were giving praise to Collins for grounding into a double play, that killed the rally.

3rd base is a black hole and was a massive oversight by the front office. Would have been nice to have gotten a legit player for that position. Capra and Dunn aren't gonna cut it. I also have serious serious doubts about Durbin there too.

Bases loaded 0 outs. 3 straight pitches down the bullseye center of plate. A 15ft dribbler double play and two fouls by Hoskins who shouldn't be allowed on the plane.  He's not better. He trashier.

I wasn't happy with the DP either. But a 15 ft dribbler? If that was true, the only guy you could turn two on would be Andre the Giant, eight days after his funeral.

Durbin has moved btwn 2nd & 3rd in AAA. He will never be a factor at 3rd unless he proves he can play the position consistently. Dunn & Capra can, which is why they're here.

If Durbin can't play 3B he is kind of useless on this Brewers team. Their plan must have been Ortiz at 3B, Turang at SS and Durbin at 2B before Turang stated having issues. Durbin is just another Tyler Black with Turang set at 2B for years to come.

I wish McMahon was on the plane with the Brewers to Phx … I’d be happy to leave both Dunn & Capra + a prospect! 😏

I didn't get to watch today but it looked like Priesters stuff was pretty good on highlight even if the command wasn't great. I agree it is time to worry about Rhys and 3B. I will give Yeli, Contreras, and Ortiz a little longer leash.

I think Yoho has a day or 2 until we guarantee him the extra year. I would expect him in a week or so. I doubt it is for Payamps (he has earned a little longer leash over the past 2 years) but if he doesn't look great his next outing or two it could be.

Put a solid 3b in this lineup and we are in business. Too bad the youngsters they drafted are still not ready.

Brock Wilken is hitting .063 to start the season in Biloxi. I wonder if the HBP to the face broke him.
