With Sal hitting so well and Contreras struggling to drive in runs I think it might be a good idea to move Sal up against righties and let him play vs. lefties.

What do we think about 1) Sal 2)Chourio 3)Yeli 4)Rhys 5)Turang 6)William 7)Bauers 8)Durbs 9) Ortiz vs. RHP

VS LHP  1) Chourio 2)William 3)Yeli 4)Rhys 5)Sal/Turang 6)Collins 7)Durbin 8) Ortiz 9) Sal/Turang

Being tomorrow is June 6 and historically there are no super 2 players after June 6th I expect to see Misi soon. We play 10 games in 10 days so a piggyback day like they have done with Hall/Priester would be perfect for a debut. I don't know how they lineup but putting him in front of Quintana for 3/4 innings would be a great pairing. Maybe he only last an outing or two but I'm ready to unleash some "Misi"ery on the world.

I wouldn't expect it.

I wouldn't either.  Just from a roster management point of view that requires putting him on the 40 man. They are willing to send down (potentially) better SPs just because they have options and it would require losing a player, I doubt they create more of an issue.

But the good news is that it is now June, and Chourio has warmed up. Dude just doesn't like hitting in March, April, or May.

Mar-May 2024: 210/253/327/580

June-Oct 2024: 303/351/525/875

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The Pad-res are better than the Rays, A's, and Jays!

BUT

I won't be singing their praise

over the next three days!

BECAUSE

the Brew Crew will win at least two!

Vasquez will be vanquished!

Chaaaad is too baaaad to leave us saaaad!

Contreras is hitting .333 with runners in scoring position this year (19-57).

We need to get on base ahead of him more so than we need someone else hitting in his spot. Chourio and Yelich's OBP (along with his drop off in XBH, granted) are the issue if we are talking about RBI opportunities for Contreras.

The Milwaukee Brewers have 22 games remaining in June.

A 10 game home stand against the San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves and 4  vs St. Louis Cardinals.

Then 6 away games against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field and the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

Then 6 back home against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Colorado Rockies at American Family Field.

Can they win 16 of the next 22?

That would be one heck of a great stretch and given where a good chunk of those wins would come from put them in very good playoff shape. I'd happily settle for 14 wins, snagging each series except a small disappointment against the Twins. That still probably has us gain some ground on the Cubs and probably puts into the top wildcard spot.

The Padres have clearly cooled off since their torrid start. The Phillies have come back to the pack a little bit, thanks in no small part to the sweep at the hands of the Brewers.

This is a sneaky important series for the Brewers, if they are going to truly challenge for the Wild Card.

Sal has been playing pretty much every day……other than the occasional day off.

Wow some good teams coming up this month.

Too bad they will be facing a better team on their home turf!

Let's go, Murph!

For sure important and it would even be better if the Tigers (with most wins in baseball) can hand the Cubs there asses on a platter to them this weekend.

Is he still public enemy # 1? Other than Jesse Winker, who else would be on the list?

Yadier Molina and it counts because he is still with the Cardinals!!!!

I would definitely take the under on that.

Cubs are facing Skubal tonight. That will be a fun one to watch.

Woodruff and his injuries man. Good grief. Poor dude

He's making lots of money playing baseball ... so in a relative sense, he's doing just fine.

From a strictly baseball perspective, it stinks, I know.  He's a good young man, too.
