Extremely boring deadline day.

I have a feeling the wifi at MLB offices may be buffering, and we're about to get a slew of trades to collectively chew on as they play catch up.  Not saying there will be a bunch of deals involving Milwaukee, but you never know.

So the Brewers have cut down on their SP depth in exchange for a guy who will be no help to the major league team.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I doubt Cortes had any shot of helping their major league team, either - it was either a trade like this or he may have been DFA'd once they couldn't keep in in a minor league rehab assignment

He most likely won't even be on playoffs roster.

Two things can be true at once. It would be malpractice to pay the going trade rates on most of these players.

And watching this version of Joey Ortiz take meaningful at bats down the stretch for one of the winningest Brewers teams of all time is really brutal.

I'd take him over Yuni B. any day of the week. Twice on double headers. You can win with one major weak spot on offense when that spot produces and defense.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Brutal day. Brewers fans deserve better but strangely don't because a ton of them are just fine with today.

Just stop.

What a bummer of a trade deadline. I thought there were some obvious areas of improvement needed. Can’t help but think that Mark A is super cheap

I will take solace in the fact that I can watch MiLB tonight.

And knowing that the same group of young prospects I saw last night will still be on the teams tonight will help me get through all this mess....

Who wants to guess which franchise was the last MLB team holding the best record in baseball on deadline day to not make a single trade?

ANSWER: It's never happened.

Until today. Unless you count a salary dump, then the streak lives on.

Highlight of my day reading all the fans getting so angry 😂

I secretly enjoy it as well. Same as Packers FA ... everyone knows what is about to happen but get all worked up over the dreams of what could be, then explode of what never is. I feel bad a little for them.

What a fumble of value of Devin Williams when you see what rental relievers went for this deadline. I like Durbin but man think we could have maximized Williams more than this.

What makes you king of how people should feel? He didn't circumvent any filters or say anything that violates any rules. He posted a measured level of understandable disappoint. Everyone wasn't here posting in such volume because they thought it would be a day of nothing.
