This looks about right.  Given the tough lefty, I figured they would try and get Yelich and Turang a day off...

Would be nice to give Frelick and Vaughn a day off as well, but not sure what options they really have since we're down so many outfielders.

We should have a solid bench if we need a late PH though

Yelich
Turang
Seigler

Time to find some luck in unlikely places again.  Here's to 15 in a row!

I'm worried about Sal's knee. Gritting through it and I don't know how it gets better without an IR stint...

Maybe once we get Perkins and Collins back, we can get him one?  Our offense sure clicks when he's up top, but I agree that he's really battling through it right now.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we do we have on the hill?

Myers (afternoon game)
Peralta (evening game)

Brewers can call up an extra pitcher for the doubleheader so I would guess Chad Patrick (last pitched 08/12) will get the nod for one of the games.

I know Peralta will pitch one of them, No idea about the other.

As someone mentioned last night, today feels as gravy as any gravy game can get. But I am sure the Brewers will be going all out to win with the guys they have available.

Would be shocked to see Koenig, Uribe, or Megill today. Throw Mears and Ashby in there too. It's Quintana's show. Grant Anderson will pitch. Maybe Tobias. Miller to close?

Quintana better be prepared to give up 10 today if he doesn’t have it.

I'm pretty sure this winning streak is entirely thanks to me. Ten days ago, I headed to my cabin in northern WI, where I cannot watch Brewers games because Fan Duel will not sell me the streaming package because I don't have a Wisconsin billing address.

But bad news: I'm heading home today.

Since losing the now infamous Cribbage Board Game on May 17th and falling to a season low 21 W - 25 L, the Brewers have gone 57 W - 19 L. That is a .750 W% over almost half a season, something like a 121 to 122 win pace. Pretty nuts stuff.

Freddy Peralta leads MLB with 14 back of the baseball card pitcher wins, but we all know its a team game and the Brewers have gone 16 W - 9 L (.640 W%) in his starts.

Brewers have now won in each of Priester's last 14 appearances, and are 16 W - 7 L (.696 W%) overall when Quinn pitches.

But Jose Quintana? How about 13 W - 5 L for a .722 W%. Hmmm, what's that you say? Even with a taxed bullpen & likely Sunday lineup the Brewers could still pick up their 14th win of the season with the crafty veteran southpaw on the mound today? That's just like, your opinion, man.

As increasingly impressive as all those winning percentages are, there's one more. The three headed monster of Woodruff (7 W - 0 L), Henderson (5 W - 0 L), and Misio (6 W - 2 L) have combined to put up a .900 W%  over their 20 trips through the rotation.

So this is slightly different, but also I think instructive of eeking out the margins. Someone had asked about unearned runs and no one was surprised that we led the league by a noticeable amount. We also lead the league in Runs scored vs. RBI differential. Currently we have 45 more runs than RBI, next closest are the Reds at 33. I didn't have time to download into a spreadsheet to calculate the average, but there are only a couple of other teams to have even 30 more runs than RBI. So the average is somewhere in the 20's which means we are squeezing out a good 2 extra wins with our style of play

On a different note because we have entered the realm of the completely over the top. I'll call the Quintana complete game no-hitter today right now.

At this point do we even talk about the lineup.    Apparently putting on the brewers uniform is like putting on the iron man or Superman suit

Do us all a solid and extend that trip, Brock!

This might be the most difficult game to win during this recent streak given the bullpen situation, guys out/injured, facing a tough lefty, etc.  Of course, that just means we will win in dramatic fashion and extend this streak.

The Cribbage Board game was awful for a lot of reasons. The only direction to go was up.
