You are correct in being that they had his skills at 55, and it does seem that MLB Pipeline does typically put its rankings on overall skills. I dont think though that they would take the person who they ranked 22 in the draft to be ahead of who they ranked 18th in all the minors, so guessing a possibility of #2 would be overambitious. Most of their current player rankings are also early season or preseason. I dont see even pipeline ranking him ahead of guys performing well at A+ or AA. I noticed I believe Burke, on his way to a 30/30 season with still a 30 run rating. It sounds like Pipeline is higher on Strosnider than most publications or teams were. This should mean he has the skills, but the question to me, is if it will translate to the field. I believe he is more of a corner outfielder and not a premium position as well, so the hit tool will really need to climb up.  

I still doubt even pipeline when they readjust will place him above 8. Even if bunched with other 55 skill prospects- he would slide in at the end of them at 7 at the highest. I dont see how they could rank him above Fischer, Payne, or Burke. I personally would not even place him above Ragsdale, who pipeline rated 45 hit and 40 power early season while he is on pace for 20HR and batting .322./454/.533.  I just dont see how someone would rank him above guys that are performing better at a higher level.  I think he is a good prospect and many years he would find himself in top 5 in most systems. My guess remains that he finds himself in most publications along with Ebel in the 13-20 range. Pipeline, being a little more skills based then production based, my guess might put him a little higher, but I still dont see them putting him at above #8.

In 2025, there were 16 milb players with 20/20 seasons. Brewers currently have 13 guys on pace or maybe 1-2 behind pace for having a 20/20 season. Arguments could even be made for others with a hot second half.

That early season juiced ball they were testing whacks out overall numbers. It is a great stat to look at. I would wonder across other systems how they look this year for that start.

Aram of Just Baseball recently said that he would take the Brewers Biloxi team over many teams entire minor league systems.  The Brewers have some serious depth.

I think Mercedes is most definitely one to watch.

The other DSL pitchers I have been tracking are Derlin Garcia, Raymond Sarmiento and Paul Hoff as the more seasoned pitchers who will likely be stateside next year, and Santiago Martinez was solid but on the IL. Aguayo is good but undersized. Carlos Galindo repeating a year and being solid but with a low K/9.

The wild card is Brache, who is towering 6' 4" at 16 years old, and he has stuff (11K/9) but zero command (15.4 BB/9), but if he could harness the command that size, age and potential stuff is intriguing.

Features both Alexander Mercedes and Enrique Lovera. Not gonna spoil the article but Josh Norris called Mercedes "one of the league’s better starting pitching prospects" and Lovera with "a swing is quick and simple, with fast hands to drive the barrel through the zone with plenty of zip."

Norris had side video of Lovera and Matos hitting HR on his Twitter account and I liked Lovera’s swing better than Matos

Absurd to not have Adamczewski. I am not a Keith Law fan so that does not surprise me. Frias at 69 is a bit rich for me as well, but nice to see nevertheless.

KLaw tends to give player upside & potential heavy weight, with age as a factor.  Thinking that way, having Frias being mentioned this early says to me that Keith thinks his ceiling is really high.

I personally don't know if I will ever see (in person) a more stacked minor league lineup then what we had here in Appleton to start the year. It is crazy that our Appleton team feels "gutted" right now and we still have Pena, Payne, Bitonti, Dickerson, etc

I tried not to take it for granted and I got to 7ish games in the first half. Thinking back and knowing the year Ragsdale is having and that he was like the 8th best offensive option for us for awhile ... it was incredible. There was no time to look at your phone when we were batting.

It hits so much different when they are "your" prospects too. The folks in Biloxi are living the dream right now with prospects but man ... when it is your local team and your big league team combined it is so much fun.

It's like he throws the ball out of his ear. FanGraphs called Holub a "human trebuchet" on their Brewers list which is a pretty perfect description of his mechanics.

Absolutely an outlier arm angle. He is quirky and hard to track. Has velo and has good off-speed stuff. It has always been an issue of precision, control, and consistency. Now that he has the walks down for a prolonged stretch it is going to be an issue of can he miss more bats, imho? Regardless, we just might be witnessing a true breakout.
