Fangraphs update

1 - Made
Made, who was still 18 when the season began, isn’t obliterating the Southern League or anything; instead, he has “merely” posted a slightly above-average line. He still has electric hand speed from both sides of the plate and is currently athletic enough to play shortstop despite the occasional arm accuracy hiccup. Made is a big kid and likely won’t remain at short in perpetuity, but he’s progressing through the minors quickly enough as a hitter that we think he’ll be able to debut there, as his agility for his size is remarkable. Neither his measurable peak power nor his feel for airborne contact has taken a step forward this season, even though he’s visibly larger, but the twitch in Made’s hands and the way he’s been tough for crafty Double-A pitchers to strike out (14.6% K%) are both really exciting. He continues to project as a 30-homer infielder.

25 - Pena
Peña hasn’t played much because of a prolonged absence after he collapsed in the dugout due to dehydration earlier in the season. His ability to pull the ball has evaporated this year, but we’re chalking that up to timing issues resulting from the layoff.

42 - Frias
Frias is a freak with crazy bat speed and physical projection, the guy on the list with the best shot to have a Junior Caminero type of rise.

63 - Brady Abel
Even though Ebel is one of the younger players on the list, his feel for the game is advanced. He has an almost mesmerizing ability to get himself a clean hop on defense.

88 - Hardin
Forret and Hardin are some of the best bets in the upper minors to develop plus command or better, and Hardin in particular has taken major strides toward that outcome over the last 18 months. 

106 - Quero
Quero’s combination of relative youth, athleticism and power keeps us on him even though he has been just fair (a .320 xwOBA) across 140 games at Triple-A since he returned from a labrum tear and hamstring injury that caused him to miss basically all of 2024 and the first six weeks of 2025.

I think they sign under the radar or projectable types and not big money (usually) for pitchers and sees who sticks. But the past 2-3 years seems a little more pitching in the top 10 bonus payments

Looks like FanGraphs also adjusted some of the other rankings and slotted in a few of the recent draftees on the Brewers Board...

After the aforementioned T111 guys looks like they have Letson, Knoth, and Fischer in the 45+FV tier.

Ebel the Younger (#17) and Sawyer Strosnider (#22) both debuted with a 40+ FV while Julian Garcia (#29) lands in their 40 FV tier.

You can see the pretty clear chasm when it comes to our hitting and pitching prospect talent according to fangraphs rankings. We have 10 45 FV or better position prospects compared to only 4 on the pitching side.

Overall we have the second best farm well behind Tampa Bay who are number one. We are in a second tier I'd say with LAD and MIN. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/farm-system-rankings

very true, but on the other hand they "graduated" a ton of MLB pitchers (Miz, Patrick, Yoho, Sproat, Henderson, Crow, Gasser) since the beginning of the 2025 season. And there are 2 solid prospects in the upper minors in Hardin and Letson.  Then it is the Dorchies/Dubanewicz duo from 2024 draft, and who knows from the 2025 draft.  The fact that the only pitcher to do anything from that 2025 draft so far is Braylon Owens, as several are some form of hurt/recovering/returning/rehabbing (Thompson, Episcope, Cairone, Morrison, FLores) or have been bad to underwhelming.  Tough when you are currently facing a lack of any progress in a whole draft class of pitchers.

Yeah, it’s been a disappointing year for pitching in the system. Before the year, I thought the pitching would take a giant step-up with just the numbers of young pitching prospects drafted in the last couple of years starting to breakout, but it just hasn’t happened up to this point, and for the reasons given.

I think once the biggest arms from the ‘25 class get healthy, things should start to change and with some of the arms added from the ‘26 draft next season should be what I thought this season would be — pitching that balances out the system a little better.

No they will. Pipeline's update didn't include draft prospects. They typically just waited to update until post deadline but that was unpopular because the lists weren't accurate at the deadline so now they do a pre-deadline update. Post deadline they will add the draft prospects.

Every time I see a new Top 20/30 I am reminded of how disgustingly deep this Brewers system is. What a time to be a Brewers fan! It seems like only a few years ago (which I believe is accurate? 😅) we were debating Juan Baez's AFL 'power break out', Eduardo Garcia's "...if he could just lay off the slider away...", and Daniel Guilarte's "...if he could just cut down that swing-and-miss!". Now we routinely leave out 10 very qualified players due to the overwhelming depth.
