- Didn’t run with Turang to stay out of the double play when green lighting Contreras on a 3-0 count with 1st and 3rd and 1 out, costing a run.

- Hit into another double play in the 7th with the bases loaded and a chance to put the game away.

- Pulled Sproat when he was cruising with a very low pitch count in favor of a bullpen that has struggled all season.

Way to get to Skubal a little bit, finally get the bottom of your order going a little bit, and leave with absolutely nothing to show for it.

The bullpen is quickly becoming something of a concern.

Quickly becoming? They became that like 2 weeks ago. It’s a bunch of gas cans and then about 2 good arms that will be dead by September.

I hate to go into Murphy again but what does he do well?

I hope someone has the stones to ask him why Turang wasn’t running if Contreras was getting green lighted on a 3-0 count with runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out.

Do you think anybody foresaw Uribe, Megill and Zerpa all collectively crapping the bed? He can’t make the pitches for them. Bullpen is severely underperforming at the moment, at least your 7,8,9 guys.

Muprhy has to manage the roster he's given, in other words.  I didn't like his lineup today but that worked fine in the end if the pen hadn't given it up.  He's not perfect but he's not a problem.

Looks like the Cubs are going to win their 10th in a row. Talk about two teams heading in opposite directions right now.

The Brewers aren't imploding.  They're 6-4 in their last 10 games and .500 over their last 20.  2 games over .500 after playing the whole season thus far without Priester, Chourio and Vaughn isn't terrible, particularly when you lose Yelich in the process.  You can lose a division in the first 6 weeks but you can't lose a division at any point of a season by going 13-11 over 24 games.  Things aren't great but they're far from terrible and they haven't started playing in the division yet.

I'll try again. What does he do well? Does he do anything that makes you say great move there? Just asking questions. Nobody seems to ever answer.

I haven’t checked the math on this but I know they were 5-5 in their last 10 when I looked at the standings yesterday so I don’t see any possibility that they’re 6-4 in their last 10 now.

Schedule loss that ended up as a schedule loss.

(Ignore all the details about what actually transpired in the game)

He could have deployed them in a different order!

Don't think there was reason to believe Zerpa would be this bad but also the expectations for him were probably way too high for a guy who has never been anything more than a mediocre middle reliever in his 170+ IP before he got to Milwaukee.

They’re 5-9 in their last 14, so definitely haven’t gone 6-4 in the last 10.

They may not be imploding but they are drifting in the wrong direction while the division rivals are surging.

This series did nothing to alleviate the concern I expressed the other day of where the Brewers might be by the end of May.

One thing that hasn’t gotten too much attention is that the Brewers have only 1 HR in their last 8 games. They have been able to scratch out some wins, but it can be hard to score when you have to string together hits and walk and stolen bases.

The Tigers showed today the value of being able to hit the long ball.
