I don' want to derail this but how does Henderson achieve his success? I'm not knowledgeable enough. I see a low 90s fastball and seemingly very good changeup. I don't recall seeing much else? Is he a two pitch pitcher or is there a cutter in there too?

It is a bridge cutter he is still trying to figure out how to spin a slider. In a small sample size it doesn't look that bad in all honesty. The main issue with Logan is his availability. He has had a litany of injuries throughout his short ML career. Can his body handle the workload? He is a good young pitcher that has only performed when available. Would you trade 6 years of that for a couple months. Oh and that is before even factoring what I think is a top 50s range prospect in Adamczewski and the highest upside lotto ticket we have in Moneys (nobody is untouchable in the DSL but he is getting there) per the batted ball data Spencer shared.

Yet if it were the Yankees or Dodgers mocked to trade for Skubal, the packages would center around MLB roster fillers and 17-year-old rookie league prospects.

It’s the tax the Brewers must pay for having the audacity to compete against big market teams.

We shouldn't be shopping for Skubal. It's ridiculous to even think about if that is truly the cost. Everytime I read an article from the media or BSPN it is basically an open letter to Milwaukee's FO with the subtext of trying to coerce them to make a massive overpay. It is a joke. ESPN can rot for what they are.

someone said the quiet thing out loud. Same goes for a lot of "top 100" lists.

I wouldn't trade Henderson for Skubal straight up right now.

Henderson's performances have certainly narrowed that gap between what one could expect in a playoff start from the two players. Then you add the years...

I have the same reservations about including Henderson in a trade for Skubal. If they did I wouldn't include either Adamczewski or Moneys but rather something like Brett Wichrowski and Handelfry Encarnacion.

I'm definitely not a prospect hugger and I am certainly more liberal about moving guys that many here but Henderson, Adamczewski AND Moneys for a rental? I'm sorry, what?

If it were me, you either get Henderson and a risky bat prospect or Adamczewski and a much lower ceiling pitcher. And Moneys is too young and promising as a throw in.

I think I would do Skubal for Henderson and Moneys plus filler. Henderson is worth enough that we shouldn’t have to give up another top-10.

My prediction is that Skubal goes to Tampa though. I think they are going to be willing to overpay because of the political implications with their new stadium push. That makes us a prime candidate for Mason Miller if he is available since the Padres won’t trade him to LA. And what position has been responsible for more of our postseason failures than closer?

Moneys is gonna be a star I have deep conviction that he is on the Pena Made path. No I would not give up any prospects like that when by the team's own definition they win on the periphery. Mason Miller just makes zero sense for what he will cost. Only if you can convert him to a starter again in subsequent years.
