I think Chourio should have his Player of the Week award rescinded and be DFA'd for being bad at robbing homers. Designated Hit the Showers.

If it is correctable - & I believe it is - why has he made this same mistake several times. In addition to his speed, athleticism, & incredible talent, he doesn’t have good instincts in the OF - left or center primarily.

There is so much said in these threads everyday that is a shrug because people are emotional and reactive and that is fine. "Chourio is a DH" is one of those things that can't go unchecked because it makes our fan base look silly.

Finally, someone with a more extreme post than me saying he should be a DH. Now everyone can share their opinions with you.

Holy smokes is Sanchez slow. Perkins probably has a chance at a triple without Sanchez in front of him.

LOL, 6 stolen bases in 12 years.

Please don't do that to me.

Pratt's sacrifice fly was good to see. Didn't totally squander the run-scoring opportunity in the 4th inning.

But currently 1-for-9 with RISP through 4 innings. Game would feel a good bit different had a couple of those chances been cashed in earlier.

Were you by chance a hall monitor in elementary school?

Because he’s 22 years old. He’s still getting used to the range he has to cover, the speed of the MLB game compared to the minors, the routes he has to take, the footage of the warning tracks, among many other things. He is still adjusting to the MLB game at an age when most of his counterparts are playing in AA.

Chourio graded out +6 DRS in 2024, +1 in 2025 and +1 so far in 2026, and +5, +3, and +1 respectively in OAA.

Even with his limitations that he needs to work on, he has still graded out as an above average outfielder every year in his career. This is his floor. And it’s not like his floor is bad.

I'm not calling him a DH but it was one of the worst attempts at the wall I've ever seen and his attempts at the wall are always bad..  Like it's honestly baffling how unaware of the wall he is.

It's unfortunately not just been a Chourio thing. Mitchell had the same thing happen as well. Brewers OF defense has regressed quite a bit since Berry left for the Cubs.

Those a great stats for a DH with poor instincts 😎

Jackson Chourio made his historic Major League Baseball debut on March 29, 2024.

Not saying he can't improve any more but it has been a slow ascent.

I hate Brewers outs at home plate

We don't get as many of those this year with Erickson at 3B.  He's conservative sometimes to a fault.  Was even worse with the T-Rats.

Not that I know of but if I was I would feel obligated to offer help if I saw a kid who was navigating the hallways for the first time.

For those of you who saw Pratt in the minors, does he always swing that hard.?

Seems like it might help him to dial it back a fraction.

No, not always that hard, at least not when he was in Appleton.

And he has averaged about 4 WAR per full season since then. Between the ages of 20-22.

He is younger right now, today, than Turang, Contreras, and Frelick were on their debut days.

If he is ascending slowly and not meeting expectations I have no idea what those expectations were.

Kuhnel is not aesthetically pleasing to watch pitch. Every pitch looks like he’s trying to throw a knuckleball with no idea where it’s headed,

Kuhnel doesn’t excite me. He’s giving up far too many HRs early in his Brewers career. I understand we have no options to take his place with so many bullpen injuries. So far, he’s no better than Woodford.

I really don't understand why he's surpassed Anderson on the RP depth chart
