I corrected that right away. I had the game on with no sound and was watching with one eye. I thought I saw a walk and then a single before the HR .

I hope they have a plan for Miz down the stretch, and the only real focus of the plan should be to have him healthy and effective in October. I don’t care if they have to shut him down for a month and then start ramping him up again in late August. 

Believe me, it would be great to have Miz regularly for the next two months, but we can win the division and a top 2 seed without him. We can’t accomplish our loftiest playoff goals without him.

I want to argue with this, but I fear it’s not wrong. Just hoping it’s not even worse than this.

I think he was referring to their cautious approach and not alluding to some underlying, undisclosed injury worry. Miz wasn't on time with his delivery last night, maybe still dealing with the aftereffects of whatever caused him to miss his last scheduled start, and if he keeps pushing through when he's not quite right, he starts favoring and trying to compensate--that's when injuries become more likely. Like Bill Walton trying to play on a stress fracture in his foot and creating all sorts of new problems for himself as a result.

Sproat really dug himself a hole early, but hopefully his June/July turnaround continues...

3.55 ERA  33 IP  25 H 13 ER 12 BB 35K 1.12 WHIP can really help us

He was pretty awful in March-May though
