Virtually no difference between the 1/2 seed, and a 2 seed for the Brewers might result in a more challenging division series opponent for the Dodgers

Freeland has pitched against us every series since the Rockies were in existence

HIs last three starts vs the Brewers have been duds but overall he's been pretty good.

Dodgers would face Cubs or Phillies. Brewers would face Braves or Diamondbacks.

That seems fine to me.

I would worry about winning division first.   Cubs aren’t mugs this year

So McCullers was dfa.    What was the point of that.  Seriously?   And we have to pay him money?

the point was that they liked Gordon and we are lighter than expected in minor league pitching depth

Houston wanted more room under the luxury tax so we essentially bought Gordon by taking on 2.5 of McCullers salary and DFAing him for them.

I imagine we’re looking at 4 innings today for Miz… followed by Stallings?

Yoho following Miz last time was so good/effective that selfishly I want to see if it is a little cheat code.. but you are right, there are probably 4 arms ahead of him that need to work.

He only went 4 last game so I would imagine 5 or 6 today depending on pitch count.

I don't know how to feel about 7-8-9 being my favorite part of the lineup.

It appears Murphy’s going with a 3-man rotation with Pratt, Ortiz, and ol’ Bunty. Pratt and Joey have been the hotter bats, but getting every third day off is good for keeping the tank full, at least.

Bauers turning into Cal Ripken is weird to me. He doesn't get many days off.

Going to play a ton if you are a lefty that’s effective against left handed pitching

Cal had 2,632 Bauers will be over 50 when he gets there.

Mitchell has been pretty good in that area as well. I like his D over Bauers but Lara in center should be fun.

The Brewers are 1.5 games behind the Dodgers for the top seed. How much do you care about the 1 vs the 2 seed?

A lot less than I care about the difference between the 2 and 3.

It can matter (see the NLDS last year) but a lot of other things will matter more in winning a series against the Dodgers than who would host Game 7. Neither is particularly better or worse at home or away, either.
