10 games up on the Cubs with 15 to play.

Will that work for everyone?

Wait I thought they were catching us by end of August?

There are only 6 teams with whom the Brewers haven't clinched a better record - it's a foregone conclusion, but once one more team is eliminated, the Brewers will officially be in the postseason. Arizona sits at a magic number of 2, and SD is at 4. It could happen as soon as tonight if the Brewers win and either of those teams loses (if both teams are at 2 or less, the Brewers will clinch due to those teams' 3 head-to-head games where one of them has to lose at least twice - confused? don't worry about it, they're no threat to catch us anyway - just a matter of when, not if)

My favorite was they were going to be four games BEHIND going into their series in Chicago last week.

Interesting dynamics from here on out. Off day yesterday, with two more before the reg season ends. But a couple of six-games-in-a-row stretches, so I expect the extra rest day for the starters to continue. Stallings back, with Wilson & Anderson both waiting in the wings on the IL. Interesting decisions to be hashed out.

And, does Naylor have a shot at being here in October?

My all time favorite player and the reason I fell in love with baseball.

1987, I was 8 years old and Molitor was on his streak.

I tried to stay up to listen to Uke on my clock radio, but my mom always left a quarter on the counter for me so I could run and get the paper in the morning and check the box score.

Ned Yost Homerun vs Red Sox 1982 | Milwaukee baseball, Homerun ...

Yeah, Ned Yost was a Harvey's Wallbanger.  The photo above was the big home run he hit against the Red Sox during the final week of the 1982 season.

I am purposely using the real magic # without tiebreaker until the bitter end.  :-)

I've got two 4x4 card holders full of his cards, I. Was. Obsessed.  My grandpa sent me newspaper clippings from Milwaukee during the streak (no longer have) along with box scores of random games (still have!).  I'll have to pull them out

Just want to say I enjoy this thread every year for 2 reasons:

1) It means the Brewers are good and clinching a playoff spot, which as someone who grew up with the dark ages teams of 1994-2006 I never take for granted and realize how amazing this run is.

2) random old Brewers photos that make me laugh. The deeper the the player the better. Glad to see Tyler Houston getting some love.

Yeah, I remember posting here (years and years ago) and someone created this thread... I was so confused as to what it meant. 😂 That is result of growing up watching bad baseball teams.

The day in 2019 that I got Bill Hall to sign my jersey.

But can you pitch?  And where is your pink bat??

The pink bat is in my man cave. And I used to throw a decent batting practice when I coached JV baseball.
