We dropped a 6 spot on the Cubs in the first inning of game 1 last year… 

Rest is huge, huge, huge in the postseason when you want your high leverage arms to cover as many innings as possible and all your position players are banged up in some way. 
 

This is the modern era, they have sophisticated pitching simulators in the batting cages, the hitters don’t need to see live pitching every day to stay sharp.

I'd be hard pressed to remember a happier 48-hour stretch in my life than what I had the past two days. Two come from behind wins in their last at bat against the Scrubs. In my life.

I would love for it to be a 72-hour stretch but I could see this being another "punt" game for Murphy seeing as how we've already clinched the series win and a bullpen in desperate need of a couple days off. I could see this just being Henderson and Sproat game today, maybe Romero.

That's not necessarily a punt though. Henderson still has never given up more than 3 runs and it's reasonable to expect he could go 5-7. Sproat could do fine for a couple innings. Hopefully we'll score a few runs and keep the pressure on.

This couldn't have been the worst loss.  Nothing got broken in his studio.  A real rabid fan would have either beaten the plastic bat on a desk, or been so mad that he would have broken his Shure microphone.

He needs to be better.  Remember this gem?  I would expect something like this:

1. Miz pitches at home in game 1 and doesn't have to horse around with a bad mound
2. Gives the pitching staff a break
3. See #1

May started to look good until the monsoons in Cincy a few days ago.

I'd argue it helped them greatly.  First, they didn't have to do the dumb WC round that they've lost in several times.  Second, they got up 2-0 in the next round and ultimately won the round.   Getting the 1 seed last year was the biggest thing that helped them get past some post season demons last year.

You never punt in baseball, but today definitely feels like a day where you're committed to giving the bullpen a lot of rest. 

Henderson, Sproat, Romero, and Uribe for a save situation. 

A sweep would be awesome. Can't wait to celebrate this division title. And let's try to make the Cubs sweat the playoffs as much as possible.

Last year for the series the Brewers were a pretty big dog vs the Dodgers even though they had home field advantage. 
Don’t remember the odds for individual games but Dodgers were a heavy favorite for the series.

This year might be different but Dodgers will be favored for sure……just might not be as big.

Reading between the lines, I'm thinking they'd like to save Sproat to be the long man in Harrison's start tomorrow. May not be doable unless Henderson can go 7, though.

I was looking at the probable pitchers on the brewers mlb site, and they have Harrison listed for the next game, which I mistakenly thought was tomorrow. They have TBD for the other two games of the Reds series

How differently do we think of his season if he doesn't get dinged on the hand in a WBC tuneup and miss the first 6 weeks....
