Why not go to the pen after the first time through???  We didn’t need length, the Padre hitters didn’t need to see the same pitcher twice.  Especially when May hasn’t been great, the first hit from the 9 hitter should’ve been the end of the road.

Apparently, according to some, the damage needs to be done first.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

He hadn't given up a hit yet.  Why have a guy up?

He gives up 2 runs every time he pitches 2-3 innings... this guy is a hot mess.

But his FIP, on the road, against teams that start with an M is totally good.

If that was "damage" then I've seen everything. Miz gave up two runs, Henderson gave up two runs, if 2 runs is too much to overcome for the bats, then you can't blame May for that

This game could look a lot different if Jackson doesn’t make those two plays to lead off the inning

Padres defense been insane this series

And the whole Fox crew is sad.  The difference in excitement between the HR that they thought the Padres had last inning, and Contreras actual HR are night and day.

BILL!!!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
