Pratt will enjoy a Fanta Orange after his mistake delayed the Brewers victory

Man, back in my day you just had to be in the general vicinity of 2nd base.

Oh well. No harm no foul.

Come on.  He was safe.  We'd all.be universally angry if that was a Brewer being called out.

Should have never come to that with that check swing

He was safe, but he’s not wrong. That identical play was a double play with zero controversy for like 110 years.

I'm not going to call it a mistake because the throw pulled him off the bag.

???

Sounded pretty loud at the beginning, intros, etc and then just kind of petered out toward the end. Comparing it to Cleveland that serenaded opposing relievers, constant noise, etc

Uribe, Ashby and Megill all should be available tomorrow.

Do we try to get Ashby to cover multiple innings again to get through the ninth tomorrow?

IMO, no one is ever unavailable any day. This is the World Series,

If tomorrow was Game 7 and they needed Miz to cover an inning he would cover an inning.

Was the crowd as bad as it seemed? Sounded pretty quiet and dead for a World Series game.

I thought the same thing at times.  I think the stadium isn’t always full of people that can pay 3K or more per ticket.  I bet there are a lot of rowdy die hards that didn’t have that cash to pony up.

I would complain, but even at home I was scared to get too excited.

I remember being at Game 1 of the NLCS in 2018. That was the vibe then. People wanted that win so bad and really believed the team had a chance to win that series.

I am sure it was the same way today.

Kevin Cash seems to disagree, we didn't see any of their best bullpen arms tonight (Wells, Booser, Baker)

Exactly. My complaint is less about the result than the process.

All replay starts to correct clear and obvious errors but inevitably expands to plays like that, or a guy having a fingernail off the base on a slide.

The rules changed several years ago once they made the sliding rules to protect the middle infielder. It's been this way for like what, a decade? I wish more baseball fans wouldn't let who we are rooting for bias our perceptions, but maybe that's just me lol

He seems to be playing the long game.

And he's down 0-1

Awful, no good, very bad game: another short start from Miz, relievers played with fire all night, Bunty forgets how to run, hitters left several scoring opportunities go by, and Pratt with another critical mistake.

Brewers win, lead 1-0. The only thing that matters.

Counterpoint: the Brewers have 0 WS in the last 110 years.  But now that they've fixed umpire error with replay and abs, they are about to win 100% of the WS Championships.

I'd feel ok if I'm Tampa. Took us to the brink without the top guns. Them eeking this game out would have been a big blow to the Brewers. They are still well positioned here.

Well, they lost ;)

but, playing from behind is different than playing with a lead ,

All the Brewers have to do is get Aranda out and they should sweep
