There are kids right now who, in 30, 40 years will look back on guys like Yelich, Frelick, and Turang the way lots of us remember Molitor, Yount, and Cooper. That's pretty cool.

Totally up to all of you. I had no intentions of moving it any time soon, so it'll be here for awhile and I'll ask first should I think about moving it.

I think leaving it until opening day, whenever that may take place, is a GREAT idea!

This feels like you took the 1982 team and transported in 44 years in the future and modernized it.

Memorable mix of youth and vets all with a hard edge to them with the perfect manager for the group.

Bauers was the MVP of the NCLS.

Wild Bill was the MVP of the World Series.

But I think the unawarded MVP for the entire playoffs is Aaron Ashby. His 18 consecutive scoreless innings is historic and will likely be unmatched for a very long time.

The whole bullpen was awesome!!! Drohan was really the only negative in the bullpen and maybe May.

AGREE!

He didn't even get a FoCo World Series Champion bobblehead!

As of now, in the 8" version, only Bernie, Murphy, Yelich, Turang, Chourio, Contreras (he gets two, one regular and one MVP!), Miz,and Bauers got one.  Frelick, Cooper, Asby, Bunty, Megill, Uribe, and Gasser really deserved to me immortalized as well.   These are going for $80 each.

They have some sick 3 footers too, but $2000 each.  Yelich, Contreras MVP, Miz and Bernie.

The merch available is just crazy in general!

EDIT:  They added Cooper and Ashby this morning to the 8" bobbles, probably more to come...

Gentlemen, it has happened. They were the best team all year long. They battled. They loved playing together. I’m so happy for the long term fans and those who never doubted!!!!

I love this because we truly were the best team all year.  They just played darn good fundamental baseball all the way. I'm especially happy for the long time fans. I can't stop smiling!!

The team overcame a lot of obstacles to reach the pinnacle of the game. Maybe the biggest was the Wisco unis.

It was pretty bleak getting swept by the Nationals in April with the Wisco uniforms.

When I'm more awake - I was up until 3:30am ET - I'll look at merch. I don't live in Wisconsin anymore, so I can't just head to Kohl's and grab stuff (though there is a Kohl's just a few minutes from me if I want Braves or UGA gear). I'll have to shop online. And I'm just going to get regular Brewers stuff. I don't want any gaudy gear with World Series logos or dumb hype phrases. I love "drag 'em," but if there's a shirt with that, nobody outside of Wisconsin would have any idea what that means and I'd look like a weirdo.

ive been thinking about that also.

There were a lot of other big names on the team (Fingers, Sutton, Simmons, Gorman Thomas, etc) that dont get the same billing as the core players (yount, moliter, gantner) who remained fixtures of this team long after the championship.

I expect it will be Chourio, Pratt, and Miz that will be the pillars of this team we look back on. Maybe Turang, Contreras, Ashby, Henderson.

I love the "undaunted" and "our way".  Stuff.  That's what I'm going with.

So, this is cognitive dissonance

Too think back on that Boston series way back in early April and Wild Bill's brother being a complete douchebag.   I think the bros had a bet and Willison got shamed into wearing the best MLB uni top ever when he won the title with the Brewers.

Gets overshadowed so much because the entire bullpen decided to also be (nearly) untouchable.

If there was a postseason MVP, it still would be Contreras. Dude went off every single series. 1.100+ OPS in the NLDS/NLCS and his worst series was still a .350+ BA and .850+ OPS. Add in his contributions behind the plate and leading the pitching staff, yah…I don’t think even 18 scoreless can beat that.

On the bright side, I don’t think Brewers fans will forget his contributions and Contreras was a class act trying to give him some attention when he accepted the MVP award.

Just finished reading through this entire thread...

This forum man, this forum provides so much sanity throughout the season.  It's hard to believe a place where you don't know anyone becomes important in your daily routine.

I'm a mega fan, and I don't know a lot of people that take it to that level personally, so this place provides a haven for guys like me and most of you!

There are disagreements all season long, and sometimes I want to smack someone in the face, but in the end, this is the place to be when it comes to the Brewers!

Thanks to everyone, even the gatekeepers!  :)

WE ARE.........................................WORLD FREAKING CHAMPIONS!

I couldn’t agree with this more, I always loved this forum because it was filled with people willing to sell a kidney for the Brewers to win a championship.

Thankfully, I get to keep both my kidneys now!

There are so many moments obviously, but I keep going back to the weekend series in LA the middle of August.

They just got swept by the Padres ending with a brutal walk off. The lead in the Central is down to 3. 7 games remaining vs the Cubs looming and the entire baseball world talking about PCA. Now they have to go into LA for 4 against the evil empire. I went from assuming the Cubs would pull away from us in September to now wondering if this will end up 2014, but worse.

They enter the top of the ninth in the LA series opener down 4-2 and facing Edwin Diaz. And they put up 3 in the 9th to win it. And then take 3/4 and leave LA with a 5 game lead on the Cubs.

After that disastrous sweep at the hands of the Padres, they went 29-12 the rest of the way.

I come back to this as well. That Padres series felt horrible. To bounce back the way they did with 3/4 vs. the mighty Dodgers was a huge, immediate swing to the positive.

Congratulations to the Brewers for being true overcomers!

They overcame the rigged MLB system in 2026!

May the owners get the salary cap this off-season!

If the MLB was fair, the Brewers would have multiple championships by now!

I will say this though to the MLB, "Thank you!"

You gave Brewers Nation an opportunity at a championship like no other!  A championship won despite the rigged system!  Thank you, MLB!  This championship is extra sweet!

And, of course a big thank you as well to all the overcomers in the Brewers organization and fan base!  You all were simply amazing!  One of the greatest teams of all-time in MLB history!

WE DID IT!

I came back here for the second time in a decade because I can't think of my Brewer fandom without thinking of the countless hours I spent on Brewerfan.net in the mid-aughts. We argued over whether Wayne Franklin or Matt Kinney was a better pitcher. We watched as prospect after prospect went the path of JM Gold, Nick Neugebauer, and David Krynzel. We discussed cheese sandwiches. We prematurely celebrated when some waiver claim or Melvin nugget showed two weeks of promise. Then I swore off watching games in 2013 when they brought back Yuniesky Betancourt to be their 1B and went from a regular poster to an infrequent lurker.

We were always outsiders who maybe, perhaps, possibly, someday might be a contender. Then we finally got back into the playoffs, but we were always bounced by someone who spends billions, or someone who got hot at just the right time while we made missteps.

I didn't know that I'd ever see this day, and I still have trouble believing it's real. Thanks to everyone who kept me engaged in dreaming when we were one of the sorriest teams in pro sports.
