That remains to be seen. As we all know, this is a very young team with guys in their lower twenties. Chourio and Miz you would think have the best odds. Where would you put Contreras at? He's on a trajectory to become one but I think needs a couple more All Star seasons to solidify his chances. I don't think Yelich gets in. He had an amazing two year stretch in 18-19 but hasn't been near that level since. I'm not familiar with his resume as a Marlin so a lot depends on that.

It was so awesome seeing the Hall of Famers from that 1982 team there and give a few words. Too bad Don Sutton isn't alive to also experience this. He always said that Milwaukee was the most fun he had in his career and that every ball player should play at least one year there. As great as this season turned out to be, in my heart, this 2026 team is only the second greatest in Brewers history.

Contreras doesn’t even have 20 WAR. Basically zero chance, unless he has 6+ 5 WAR seasons in him. Great player, but not THAT special.

Yelich, also zero shot. He isn’t good anymore, was way too mid of a player after those two great seasons.

Chourio started so young he certainly has helped his case. Right now he is a fringe All-Star. Get back to me when he has a Top 5 MVP finish.

Miz, the only one that is really on the HOF radar right now. Cy Young in his second year so has the elite pedigree. Needs health and more elite seasons though. Many can string an elite year or two of pitching…the league may figure out that fastball if he can’t have the off speed help it out.

Turang may be a dark horse? 7.3 WAR this year and around 5 each of the two years prior…keeps that up and he may be on the HOF radar, but I don’t know if he has the offense to get the attention. The defense eventually falls off and hurts his value.

If I had to guess, zero HOFers. Remind me in 20 years.

In general, I don't think this team is built on hall of fame type players, Murphy said it best, they are gamers.

We have a group of guys that are pretty special, but very few turn heads with stats, they know how to win as a group...

Can we scratch out a couple HOF guys from this current line-up, of course it's possible, but it's just so hard to make predictions when the possibility of injury, or whatever is always looming.

Someone on ESPN radio wanted to hear from Milwaukee Brewer fans re: how special this is to them. My thought was that this was very nice for statewide fans, but maybe even a bit more special than the Bucks’ championship.

For sure, I can’t even imagine how nice this is for the true blue fans, cuz I am a good fan and I am still over the moon.

Does anyone else have a slight feeling of sadness knowing that nothing you’ll see as a sports fan for the rest of your life is ever going to be better than this?

I do not have even the slightest feeling of sadness.

For quite a few years I have thought that it was more likely than not that I wouldn’t see a Brewers World Series title in my lifetime.

I’ve had a pretty good decade so far with my favorite NBA team (which I honestly don’t follow as closely as I did when they first came into existence in 1968), my favorite college football team, and my second favorite college basketball team win titles. And the Packers have won enough titles in my lifetime that I never had to imagine what it would be like for them to win one.

But, since 1970 my greatest sports wish had been a Brewers World Series win. And now that it’s happened, it has been every bit as enjoyable as I thought it would be. And it will be a wonderful memory for as long as I have a memory.

I realize that if the Brewers win another World Series it won’t have the same feeling for me and the rest of fan base as this one. But instead of sadness about that, I m happy that I will never again see the Brewers on the list of teams that have never won a World Series, or a list of the franchises that have gone the longest without one.

Just as good, Cubs fans can no longer say “so what if the Brewers have won 6 division titles since the Cubs have won one in a real season. We have the ring. “

Good times.

I didn't want to post this during the series because if I did I 100% would have jinxed us but I just have to say that Rays lineup left a lot to be desired.  Like Chandler Simpson batting 3rd?  He's a fine player for what he is but that's a hilarious spot in the lineup for him.

That Game 3 lineup was a monstrosity, Vilade 2nd, Chandler 3rd, Williamson 5th, DeLuca 6th, Fortes 8th and Walls 9th.  I honestly had the thought of wanting Harrison or Drohan start game 4 to see if Cash would throw out a lineup like that again.

It felt like the Brewers lineup against the Dodgers in 2025.  You might get a lead and a run or two but you don't really have a chance and I think everyone kind of knew it.

The American League kind of sucked this year.

There is a rumor floating out there that several Brewers will make an appearance on Saturday Night Live tonight

At least Pratt and Jackson at the Bucks game

I'm the exact opposite. I'm freed knowing I have experienced the one thing in sports fandom I have wanted above all else. Nothing will ever top this. The part of me that enjoyed everything about sports but felt incomplete because I've never gotten to the top of the mountain is gone.

Was I (and am I still) disgusted by the Packers loss in the playoffs last year. You betcha. But I didn't have those gnawing thoughts of "I'm never gonna see this am I? They are always going to break my heart, aren't they? Do they have a Super Lab where they manufacture new and convoluted ways to crush my soul specifically?"

And maybe it's nuts, but literally until the ground out to end game 5, those thoughts remained lodged in the darkest places of my psyche. But after, like a fog has lifted.

Doesn't mean I won't be as passionate about any of it. Doesn't mean I won't want to see more titles and be bitterly disappointed if they don't. Doesn't mean I won't assume the worst mid game and be over the top dumb as my coping mechanism.

But that existential dread I will never experience the best there ever will be? Gone

And it's the [expletive deleted] best.

If I had seen this post earlier, I wouldn’t have taken the time to write mine. It describes my feelings exactly.

Although I think you're correct, the Hall of Fame is going to have to start adjusting its criteria soon or nobody is getting in. Many of the prior milestones used as the barometer are obsolete. SP wins, Ks, 3k hits, 500 HR...while these things aren't quite unattainable, the game has changed a ton, innings are down, the same hitter might face 4 different pitchers in a game, etc. They're going to have to start easing up a bit.

If this has been posted and I missed it, I apologize, but... goodness this hit me so hard.

First, Ted looks amazing. I don't know what I expected him to look like these days, but he has aged exceedingly well.

Hearing from all the guys from 82 was amazing, and you could tell how much they felt it, but for anyone that ever thinks these guys are in it simply for the money and don't care as much as fans (and yeah, more today and some don't) you can tell how much that loss weighed on him and how much this removed a weight from him.

He looks like a Classical era composer lol. That was a tremendous speech. I’m not especially familiar with the 1982 team, so this moment caught me off guard. He really captured the pain of losing that series, as well as the relief they feel now with remarkable clarity.

Watching Yount refuse any credit all week was genuinely sad. The players and Murphy clearly wanted him to feel part of it, but he wanted no part of the recognition. Even when they handed him the World Series trophy to hoist for the fans, he still tried to step back before giving in at the end. Seeing him in that moment broke me. I truly hope he feels like a champion now. He more than deserves it.

In case you didn't realize how ridiculous college sports has got.

You think you can hurt me? I watch the Packers in January. You can't hurt me.

Just did my first read-thru of this thread after the whirlwind last few days... may have shed a tear or two. Congrats to all here for getting to experience this together!

Being at AmFam for the watch party on Wednesday night, then high fiving everyone on the street and in passing cars on Bluemound after the game was an all-time high I'll never come down from. The parade and rally Friday was just a day that I never wanted to end. What a beautiful time on Wisconsin Ave and the Summerfest grounds!

We should do this every year!
