I'm pretty sure Hart has locked up his spot on the all-star team now. 18 HR 60 RBI. 1st and 2nd in the league in those categories respectively.
Yeah, Hart seems a lock to get picked as a backup and Braun as a starter. Question is, will Yovani get the nod? Could happen. I like how the Brewers now get 2 or 3 guys every year. I remember all the years in the mid 90's to early 2000's when we only had our one guy get in. It's a nice change.
I have a gut feeling that Gallardo will get snubbed just based on the wealth of good pitching in the NL this year. Even though he is well deserving of the spot.

It's not often you see a guy go 300 plate appearances without a HR and then hit such a no doubter like that.

According to Gameday, Parra's fastball has only been around 89-91 instead of 93-95. Hopefully it's just a case of not being able to get loose and not anything serious.

This interview with Mark A and his son is really painful to listen to.
Yeah it was strange. His son looked really nervous. However, I did enjoy Mark cheering during the plays tho.

Just FWIW, Cory said on the radio broadcast he spoke with Macha and Escobar's day off was pre-planned before the collision yesterday and the collision has nothing to do with Esco getting the day off.

I'd like it if Parra improved his change and curve (even that slider he showed a couple times in his last start) so he could drop that splitter. It gets him a lot of strikeouts but as long as he's a big league pitcher he'll lead the league in wild pitches every season.

I heard BA say to MA something about "maybe you'll be buying" and knew there would be much typing on the internets after that.

that was a nice way to end the inning, LOL. I think he just put his arm out to call time. I think though the umpire does not have to grant all time requests.

Gotta feel bad for Bourne there. Manny taking forever, it was pretty obvious the batter was going to ask for time any second, he finally does, and the ump misses it giving Parra the free strikeout.

I don't feel bad at all. Just because he asked for time doesn't mean he gets it. Wait until you hear the ump say time and then leave the batters box.

Come pass the time in the chat room, if you'd like. Content seems to load in real-time and everything, which is more than can be said about the forums lately.

Awesome inning there. Once the bases were loaded for Pence the writing was basically on the wall.. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had a feeling he'd get a hit.
