Per Ken Rosenthal (Tweet Link)...

“Source: Free-agent RHP Yovani Gallardo in agreement with #Brewers. Gallardo was Brewers’ second-round pick in 2004, pitched for MIL from ‘07 to ‘13. #Mariners declined his $13M option. Combined ERA past two seasons: 5.57.”

Not just “at Night” anymore.

With this and the Kemp deal... what’s next? Utley and Howard go back to the Phillies?

Hoping this is a minor league deal. Can't imagine we are guaranteeing him a rotation spot.

According to Jon Heyman it is a major league deal (Link).

Got our Lone developed All-Star Ace back!! Lol I like the move. Like Jeffress maybe Milwaukee is just his place. Still not old at 31 & doubt all his talent has escaped him. He may not be what he was before he left but could be solid filler until Nelson. Just have to hope he finds it again

Let me know if someone figures this out. He's been awful the last couple of years.

What is the risk? You hope he bounces back or you DFA him. Doubt much money is in it for Yo. Let him compete & see what happens

I checked his splits and there really wasn't anything that went well for him last year. Head scratcher.

In terms of someone bouncing back, Gallardo is arguably a better bet than Sabathia, albeit, I think Sabathia has the higher floor.

In any case, if he slumps, or if the last two years are where he is now, plenty of young options.

Lol a little nostalgia never hurt anyone, right?
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The worst part of this would be if Gallardo getting a rotation spot means they keep Hader in the bullpen and continuing wasting his potential.
