Monarch on Apple TV has my attention after two episodes. I'm not usually into that genre but I like it.

I just watched episode one and am both intrigued and confused.  I'm not quite sure what this is supposed to be... I'm assuming these are new characters spinning off the Godzilla/King Kong movie series? Is this more about the people or the monsters?

What is your impression after watching more than 2 episodes (assuming you did)?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Just finished the Andor series. Season 2 was pretty good.

I have to finish that up before we let our Disney subscription lapse.  I am about 3 episodes in.  So far, so good.

It's decent. We watched the whole thing. It is about the people chasing the monsters and trying to figure out/predict when they will attack. This "research" started post-WWII, so there are a lot of flashbacks. I don't read comics, and I don't know Godzilla canon, so I have no idea if this is based on source material or what. That seems like something @RobertR might know.

We checked out Last Frontier this week (of course, we're in AK so had to check it out) and yeah so far so good.  They definitely like the cliffhangers.  We'll probably check out E4 right away Friday when it drops.

It’s the perfect show to help me through my post Brewers season letdown. Some of the spectacular visuals I presume are legit AK scenery as well.

I thought the same, but as it turns out, it was all filmed in Canada's Quebec and Alberta provinces.

This is more or less everything we are watching, plus The Lowdown on FX.

And my wife just discovered The Gold on PBS. It's a British show about a massive gold heist in the 80s. First episode was pretty good except we can't turn on captions on PBS. Some of those cockney accents might as well be swahili.

Chicago PD has always been a great show.

I do not watch their sister shows though, and find it annoying when they tie them all into one long episode once a year or every other year...

Anyway, looking forward to Boston Blue (Blue Bloods spin-off) since I was a huge fan of Blue Bloods.

Has anyone checked out DMV yet?

I'm expecting a little Office and/or Superstore flavor...

Btw, I really like DMV!

It's quite funny, but not highly original.

Nathan Fielder’s shows are singular experiences unto themselves. Rehearsal S2 was the pinnacle for me, but The Curse and Rehearsal S1 are well worth it too.

The Chair Company on HBO. I guarantee you either love it or you hate it but it is like a David Lynch inspired comedy.

Yeah, loved The Chair Company too.

That was my first foray into the world of Tim Robinson beside his all timer Roundball Rock skit on SNL.

Yeah... it's a show I throw on before bed. I've got bad sleeping habits. I sleep with the TV on.

It's alright.

Foundation on Apple TV is pretty original.

It's also kinda lost me... but original.

There's actually a lot of different, unique shows, but they don't seem to get as long of a rope as they should(IMO).

New Amsterdam I think was the name of one(not the Doctor show, the immortal medical examiner).

THAT was a cool show. Might not have been called New Amsterdam, but something like that. Gemini would be able to answer that quickly enough.

I got Hulu mostly to finally see the last couple seasons of What We Do In The Shadows. The last season probably didn't need to happen but the movie and the show were both great. Really terrific concept: Well what do vampires do when they're not killing people but just hanging out?

Guess I'll see if Hulu carries DMV or just continue with the ___That Built America series.

Caught up on Tracker on CBS / Paramount.  Getting a little darker... nice!

Picked up The Diplomat on Netflix.  Only watched season 1 right after it came out.  Just started season 2.

My (new) son-in-law said I have to watch Landman.  Thoughts?

Landman is glorious!  Just a great show that is hard to stop watching once you start!

Also, Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King are also excellent!

I don't know if anyone here is watching the final season of Stranger Things but there is a new character named Derek Turnbow (no joke). Also he looks like a character from the old Far Side comic strip. Here is a photo from the back of a Far Side book. The similarity can't be a coincidence. It's even the same shirt:

It's a good show. Sometimes you need to ignore/roll your eyes at the obvious propaganda but I enjoy watching it overall.
