What is the crap I am seeing about the Nats not starting Scherzer on full rest?

 

I heard that, for some reason, Joe Ross is starting. It was frustrating.

Possible rain from hurricane could delay or cancel the game. They don't want to mess with Scherzer warming up or pitching and then the game gets delayed or called. Too valuable to risk that in a lost season.

Nah, landfall is Friday and then moving south before moving north. Hurricane will have no effect.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

And just in general why not give Scherzer some rest if he feels he needs it. Their season is over. Bad luck for us but can't blame them, he's too valuable to them

I read one article today where theo was basically making a veiled threat that there was a possibility they would just forfeit/refuse to play the game. Lol
