On August 8th, 2009, Chacin pitched 2 innings in relief. He started a game and walked 6 guys in 2.2 innings (4 ER) 3 days later.

 

He has never made 2 starts in a 4-day period until today.

For sure. Probably ~55 pitches in 3 innings, and that's if this ends well. No reason whatsoever to ask for more on 3 days rest when he's due to hit in the bottom of the inning.
